Good point. We should run that up the flag pole and see who salutes.

Moving some things from one unit to another unit.

Nice delicate limited edition beer glass that was picked up in Europe years ago that I really like.

    Towel.

Towel placed inside and then around said nice beer glass.

Towel and beer glass placed in backpack with some other items.

    Arrive in unit B.

Pull the towel out of the backpack to wash it while completely forgetting about the nice beer glass.

RIP nice limited edition beer glass that I really like.

Just as well I wrapped it up in a towel to protect it during transit.

Most will be meh about this but it pisses me off, too many green welly brigaders have the Govts ear. Nearly forty thousand badgers culled in the UK in 2020, they are legislating to ban this disgusting practice from 2022 onward.

Badger culls will end after next year, ministers promise – as figures show at least 38,642 were killed last year
Badger Trust questions timing of announcement, 'with the perceived, yet questionable, good news ahead of the very bad news’

Yep, when i drive locally i cannot go more than 10 miles without seeing at least 1-2 badgers that have been killed by vehicles by the side of the road, so when you add that death toll on top it must be nearer 100K.

The things I had no idea about nor even thought about...

The badger population in England and Wales is estimated to be 485,000 – an 88% increase since the 1980s, research shows. ... “We estimate there are approximately 485,000 (95% confidence intervals 391,000-581,000) in England and Wales,” the report found.
Badger population rises to 485,000 in England and Wales - Farmers Weekly.

^ they are primarily nocturnal, shy and lovely animals. Most people only see them or rather dead ones by the side of the road. They have been much maligned as TB carriers and consequently persecuted by the farming community as a result.

^^^^ is badger fur the one that they use for the neck part of medieval capes? Like those of Sansa Stark & Jon Snow in GOT. Or is it from mink, ferret, etc? Thanks..

Didn't know about badgers either. I vaguely remember it was one of the animals of the "houses" in Harry Potter books.

Edit: I googled, it's Hufflepuff house which is signified by the badger.

Saudi Arabia will remain under flight lockdown until May 17, exceptions are being made for citizens in designated categories to travel abroad.

If there’s that many of the bastids being slaughtered, why are shaving brushes so expensive?

Some people seem to be getting bent out of shape because the UK is banning bottom dredging to preserve ecology and fish stocks.
