Bought the youngest a Galaxy pad 2 weeks ago, this morning dead after its nightly charge, took it to Samsung shop, working fine, fully charged, felt a bit foolish, back home, dead.

^ Easy - bring Samsung shop to you or leave child plus toy at the shop?

Only worrisome if one is dependent on seven or other similar shopping development.

All the mom and pop shops nearby were sold out... Only Chang left but I'm not a monster.

He wouldn't be the only one mentioning it.

I hope this is stocking up for NYE parties, and not that Ol' Eddie will shuffle off for a few tomorrow to find that alcohol is banned for the next 3 months, mom n pop shops are empty and the black market rate is 10,000 baht per Award Winner.

I think that very, very brief kind of 'pfft' sound just then was the sound of jeff's mind being blown.

The thought that not everyone sits on the concrete 'log look' stool on the outskirts of Nakhon Nowhere that he pictures in his sepia toned recollections of rural Thailand.

    It's caused a short-circuit.

Which is not to say that sitting on a concrete log table sipping cheap Thai beer and rum on occasion is a bad thing, just not the only option. I’ve some fond memories of getting slightly pissed at a concrete log table...

Took it back to the shop today, guarantee covers 7 days for exchange, but they took it in to fix.

Had similar with Samsung TV a few years back, screen started convulsing about 10 days in, too late for exchange but Numchai turned up, one look and carted it off, returned it with what was probably a chink copy screen as it started expiring about a year later.

We won't be hearing the end of this particular brand of administrative incompetence.

Yesterday I ordered a couple of burgers for 309bt, handed over a new 100 bt note which the cashier accepted as a thousand, and gave me the change.

Fortunately for her, a 900 bt scam is not my mission in life, and as she counted my change I already had another new 100bt in one raised hand and a 1000bt in the other, which left her confused when she handed me my change, until I gestured to the till, which she checked, retrieved my original 100bt, and screamed. Other staff came rushing over, yak yak, one grabbed her note to show others in the cooking area, and returned it to me in exchange for the k.

Note that the young one likes their burgers, which makes me a regular at that place, and now tagged not just for being honest but for giving them a heads up on what to expect once these brilliantly designed notes are more widely circulated.

Mine is ‘taking a deep dive’.

Cuntsultants..... like McKinseys, KPMG et al who "loop you in", "put rubber on the road" and "boil the ocean" whilst plucking "low hanging fruit" in their "white space" as long as they have the "bandwidth"
