    Moving is a fkn ballache!

Not so much the moving itself but at the other end having to unpack and set everything up again.

Also I now only have a small bar. On the brightside I've hung a few things up to give taxexile something to whinge / obsess over

One thing down, 59 to go...

    ^ Why the move?

Where in the Kingdom now? (I'm not looking for a street address)

How is the knuckle? Need stitches? Luigi is a nurse with experience with that area ... apparently

    Respectively...

    - sold the last place;

    - still CNX, more or less down the road actually; and

    - have only knocked the fkn thing about 23 times... so far today.

Did you take your shed with you?

Or did the new owners insist on having it as part of the sale?

Yeah the latter, bit gutted about that but don't really have a spot for it at the new place.

That's either a very big clock or a very small house.

    Have I mentioned my love of painting? Well, it's a beautiful Sunday . . . 16 degrees and sunny . . . simply great.

. . . until my darling wife tells me the front wall needs painting, but not to worry, only on the street-facing side.

It ain't no short nor small wall . . . eight feet high and lotsa feet long. Double-

(And it still goes on off to the right on both sides . . . Triple- . . . luckily there's a small park on the far side so trees obscure most of that part)

    Helge!!!!!!!!!!!!! Eckernförde-boy needs you

DIY paint jobs can take value off of a nice house, a professional paint job adds value to it.

Looks like a nice property, so you should probably hire a professional. It's the little things that Pro's do that make it pop.

You're quite right about the need for pros . . . helge already gave nm a lecture about it as well.

Half the property has this wall around it an the other half is wood. I do one every year, the other the following year. Outside isn't that bad but the furthest I go is is the ledges - and even then this was the last time.

For my formidable job click here: Daily Moan and Daily Moan

The house in Auckland is done by pros and the cost is covered by the tenants as part of our agreement. Lower rent, pay everything.

Our bach (kiwi term) by the snow is done by . . . me . . . but that's ok, I think.

Thanks, though - would you like to come down and convince my wife

    Looks fine to me.
Sounds like she's just giving you stuff to do to keep you busy and out of the house.

I think you'll be able to convince her yourself with your quality workmanship, thus ensuring the next time it will be done by a professional.

Doubtless, or angrier to be specific.

Still it'll be in the spirit of the thread and I'm here to help.

Yeah that could be a daily moan of its own. Definitely need an upgrade there.

It just so happens that the week prior to moving my last beer fridge shat itself after 15+ years of faithful service.

    RIP, Fridgey.

Depends where you are. The cost inflation forces you to do shit yourself. A friend of mine got a basic 2 story house panted here in the Fraser Valley. It cost him $7500.

And it probably raised the value of his house over 10,000$, so whats your point?

What would it have cost him before this 'cost inflation'?

Well got me TV up and even a kitchen towel rail for the missus.

Why a moan... Cos I did it all while feeling very, very dusty.

Tequila shots are never a good idea and any one who says different needs to shut their lying whore mouth!
