    Believe me

And not even the best painter in the world can work with the brush you just bought

    It's for cakes

    Regards Pintor
    Dear Pintor,
Thank you very much for your concern. I have bought new brushes - a set of six in one pack for NZD$9.90. I spared no cost cost for this. The paint? The paint? In my daughter's Godmother's words: 'The paint? The price? Ach Henry, biste en meschuggener"

I am now looking forward to continuing the rest of the window sills even though they don't need it. I have the paint. It was expensive. Can't buy less than one litre and each window sill may need 15ml - lots to go around. Not much else to do.
    The outside wall is next.
PH with paint and brushes . . . will buy roller next.

"Let a pro do it"? Pfffft. PH is now a pro! (as long as I use massive amounts of duct tape and have a painter's phone number at hand)

    Best regards,

    PH (Painter Handyman)

    Pfffft . . . no need.
I've decided the brush is good enough - no need to use the new ones. When one buys a quality brush for ND$3, you need to cherish it.

Room 2 - looking bladdy good! Note the professional drop sheet that goes the whole length of the window. Quality, matey.

    Room 3

This one gets the morning sun - and pollen in spring - now!

    Room 3, part two

I've decided this is the last room as my creative juices have drained and my wife has looked up the numbers of professional painters. I'm guessing she wants to show them how a real painter can do it. She just said yes, that's why. She hasn't explained why they're be here to give us quotes just for telling me how good I am.

Please note the quality undercoat application.

As you may also have noted, I have decided that due to my wizardly skillz I don't need a drop sheet.

    This will go well.

    Painting

    What has my life become.

So yes - Daily Moan. Painting.

The prototype ? The first one they built?
I used to enjoy the mall. Good for a coffee and midriff / Cleavage spotting.

Anyone ever heard of Marmite exploding?

I didn't realise we had a spare jar in back of cupboard, expired March this year but can't have been there more than a year because that's when we moved in; wifey investigated a smell and found it had popped from the sealed jar, lid off and squished all over the place.

And of course it's my fault.

This prompted me to have a look around. As far as I can see, Marmite effectively has no real expiration date. Good for years apparently, as a consequence of the high salt.

I had a quick look on the web, and could not find anything on it exploding or leaking out the jar. Bit of a mystery.

Actually, now I feel better that I keep mine in the fridge.

Marmite and Promite are for weaklings that can't handle Vegemite.
They are similar but have added sugar to make them palatable to non-Australians.
Maybe the sugar and yeast fermented.

There is no sugar in marmite.

It's the original that the Aussies made a second rate copy of.

From their website - ingredients are

Yeast, sugar, salt, mineral salt (potassium chloride), colour (caramel III), corn maltodextrin, mineral (iron), vitamins (niacin, thiamin, riboflavin, folate, B12), herbs, spices.

Agreed. Painters will come in and sort it in about 8 hours.

There's no sugar in the UK version. Maybe they add it for Australia.

So it appears. The UK overlords must be trying to subvert decent Aussie youth with namby-pamby desert spreads.
Is having Elizabeth Saxe-Coburg-Gotha on our coinage not enough ?!?!?!

We keep the open one out, I don't know if that keeps it fluid but that's the way it's always been.

An engineer mate suggests heat at the back of the cupboard would have kept it fluid, while yeast expands with heat so it popped the seal and did its worst. I think it should still be edible, but wasn't about to protest when wifey dropped it in the bin with a look that said protest wouldn't be smart.
