    Double moan today:

    1. Packing and it sucks massive donkey dick; and

    2. Coolio my bar fridge has just died.

Not all bad news though I suppose, #2 means that #1 just got slightly easier and I now have an excuse to drink while I do it. Silver-linings. Also I'm definitely not procrastinating...

It might just me getting on in age - but fuck, Thailand is noisy. My backwater moo ban has shit going on all day. Building rennovations in the house behind me. Some dude who brings out an angle grinder every evening, market vans, motorbikes. Never ceasing.

Justified moan, I feel your pain Nid.
I don't think your hearing becomes more sensitive as you get older.
Noisy neighbours, argg! I snapped the other Sunday morning and shouted through the adjoining wall to "have a fvcking day off".
I am happy to report their continuous 6 months of early morning noise has ceased.
However, I do not recommend this action for yourself, maybe get a set of ear plugs.

Damn near silent here except for the sound of literal crickets chirping.

Yeah, Bangkok not Thailand as a whole.

And even in Bangkok, to be honest...a dozen years living there and you should have your crib sorted out.

There are loads of (mostly) quiet 'dead end' sois

Spicy Italian Sausage pizza isn't a pizza topped with spicy Italian Sausage.

It's a pizza topped with both Italian sausage and sliced chilies (approx. 8 pieces per slice, well set into the melted cheese)

    That's a moan?

Should have put it in the daily cheer thread.

Well, it would be a cheer if one was used to those homemade Chitty 'pizzas'.

I really do get why people intensely dislike you.

For the record, I do live in what *should* be a (mostly) quiet "dead end" soi.

    Dipshit.

I live in a cul de sac in a village in the backwaters of Bearing. It's still noisy. The idea that you "should have sorted your house out so it's quiet all around you" is laughable horseshit.

I somehow managed to sleep in Pattaya downtown. Bar on the bottom blaring all night.

We live in a private village and could hear a pin drop.

Which is a bit crap, actually.

The village green/lake/park area reminded me of where we all used to play football and hang-out during the long summers of Italia '90, Euro '92 etc, thronged full of happy kids out running and playing until past sundown everyday.

Was kinda hoping for similar social activity for the kid. Unfortunately no one ever seems to leave their house.

    Ever.

The kid did get to play with the maintenance people's children that were planted on a mat under a tree during their school holidays. Which judging by the looks and welcome, the maintenance people were highly, highly suspicious about.

Ticks! The problem with picking mushrooms in German forests is ticks. I cover myself in deet; the wife only did her legs and ended up with several on her arms. They're buggers to spot and remove...

    Window sill painting
. . . scrape off the old paint with scraper.
    Use coarse sandpaper
    Apply two coats of undercoat.
    Lightly sand back.
Apply two coats of paint . . . reminder to remove masking tape directly after applying paint.

    Bugger.

Wait for paint to dry and repeat:
. . . scrape off the old paint.
    Use coarse sandpaper
    Apply two coats of undercoat.
    Lightly sand back.
Apply two coats of paint . . . reminder to remove masking tape directly after applying paint.

Our house has a lot of windows. Seriously. Many, many . . .

    Sunday.

    Bugger

    Regarding the 'RIP Wally' thread

Do we have ignorant mods here, who can't see that the thread needs cleaning up.

Or is it an attempt to open our eyes up to what we are like as posters and humans?

Would it be an eyeopener if a RIP thread got "doghoused" ?

Posting shit there suggests severe "tone deafness"

At the mall. Bored to near tears. I gotta try and use oxycontin on these days again, without letting it get out of hand.

If this was the Mall of Asia , I wouldn't be bored. Everything is different in Asia. Far more stimulating
