I was talking to a woman yesterday and she had a good moan about a problem she had. I listened carefully and asked a couple of questions to make sure I understood properly. I didn’t think her problem was insurmountable so I made some suggestions on how to overcome her problem. She then had another good old moan about her problem. I thought that perhaps she had not understood my suggestions so I rephrased it and gave some more details about my ideas. She then repeated her moans. I wondered if she was actually listening to me but I gave her the benefit of the doubt and gave her some more specific details that would help her get through her problem. I tried to make sure she could easily see how my ideas would work. But to no avail. She started moaning about the same problem again. I thought for fuck’s sake! Is she not listening? Then the penny dropped. I am a man. Men look for solutions to problems. She is a woman. Women just moan about their problems. She wanted my ear, not my ideas. Bugger.

Couples clash like this all the time. I sometimes remember and refrain from being a solutions bro. But when I forget , a big awkward fight ensues.

Car was ordered a couple o' weeks ago. Price given, deposit paid. Tomorrow is collection day after wife checks her horoscope as to when it is a good day to collect. The dealers have had the vehicle for 5 days. They even send the wife photos of it from the dealers. Unfortunately at the last minute today the dealer turn around and says they haven't got the insert for the back. It a pick up. Delivery of that will take a couple of extra days. I'm livid. But my missus being Thai can't see the problem. Am I wrong? To me a contract is a contract. I'm sure as hell if I didn't comply to the agreement/contract things would be different.
