Manual was useless but Dilly’s suggestion bore fruit.
    Thank you good sir.
Give the car a Basil Fawlty-type thrashing. Works for me.

Once there it's in your system, doomed you are, by next week you'll be missing it.

I've picked up a spell of onshore office work, long hours, seven days a week.

I'm pretty much on autopilot until I get some coffee inside at breakfast at 6:15am.

Had a meeting yesterday, during which someone kindly advised me my shirt was on inside out.

The meeting was at 2pm... wish someone could have told me 7 hours earlier.

Yeah, that's for sure. No cone at least.

One of the secretaries kindly told me to check in the future that the pocket is on the outside.

And she was being serious! I think she think's I'm a bit stupid.

How did you manage to do the buttons up from the inside?

^^ Don't unbutton them mate... straight off over my head and into the wash bag every night. Reverse after washing.

Don't get much spare time at the moment!

You may well do if you continue to wear inside out t-shirts and flip flops to board meetings

My daughter sends me pictures of her English homework on Skype to check over before the teacher see's it. One of the sentences in her latest story was:

"Ok, wanna play at the park?"

Perfect use of speech marks and other punctuation, but wanna!!!

I explained that wanna isn't a proper word, and to change it to 'do you want to', but she was adamant it was a word because (cos) she'd seen it on youtube.

I never realised how pervasive text speak had become, but howdya stop 'em using it?

    ^^ Can't stop it mate.

When corporations use this atrocious use of the English language, then you have no hope.

    Daily Moan-mcdonalds-jpg

Just by having a quick looksie, I can spot around 6 or 7 errors with that sentence.

Helsinki is a pretty boring place. I've only been there once, back in the good old days spending on the company credit card. Why did I get bored of greed culture??? Silly young me...

Helsinki and the Finns . . . boring, bland . . . but the best bear steak I've ever had, with a lovely Pfifferling/Chantarelle sauce.

American companies had excellent expense limits . . . lasted until a few years ago

Why do people in car parks wait for you to start reversing then start walking behind your car?

Christmas shopping season used to start the day after our Thanksgiving aka "Black Friday" and the reported retail sales figures did drive the stock market. Reported that 50% of a stores annual sales occurred between Black Friday and Christmas Eve.

Thanksgiving Thursday used to be ALL stores closed. Now they remain open. Christmas decorations are now put up in stores before halloween.

Funny to see a Witch on Broomstick next to Rudolph.

Off to BKK next week and looking forward to it! Did take a look at the course schedule, I find it a little depressing that I have more breaks than the kids at my place of work. I'd be pretty bratty too if I was asked to sit for hours and hours on end. Guess the reflective nature of the course is working already

I've got a degree and half my work is numbers, but I'll be completely buggered if I can help my 8 year old daughter do her maths homework this week.

Two questions have left me completely stumped and I've wasted ages trying to work them out.

Any maths teachers? Free greens for the correct answers (with working!)
