First day back to school today, all hell broke loose in the Mendip household at 6am today, after eight weeks of no routine.

Car keys disappeared, big panic ensues but can't find them anywhere. Wife had to find the spare set, stored so safely it took another ten minutes to find where.

Hour and a half round trip in the Korat rush hour traffic. Finally get home and the school calls wondering why there's a set of keys in my daughters school bag...

    Roll on the Christmas holidays...

A couple of posters, you know who you are, were offended by some inappropriate pics I posted earlier, and have accused me of being sexist and shallow.

In future I will post only stuff with a cultural or educational content, such as this picture of Pont Neuf Bridge in Paris. It is the oldest bridge in Paris and took 26 years to build. It was completed in 1604. Enjoy!

... It was completed in 1604.

They really knew how to build things to last in those days.

It took over 400 years for the first crack to appear.

It's the annual time of year when the school test us for Victorian era maladies.
No breakfast = I wanna fight someone.
    Let's hope I don't have dropsy

    Fucking Qantas.
    Piece of crap outfit.
    There’s a ticketing issue.
Give online feedback several times, write to imbecile CEO several times over the years, the fuckwits never fix it.
Qantas = Aeroflot = Thai Airways = rubbish.

    Photo or it didn't happen.

Given your Thai connection, I'm expecting this standard ...

You plan for lessons on Tuesday, make lessons plans and all the usual. Then everything is abruptly canceled because Putin needs to drive past the school on that day. Actually it could be quite an interesting day to take a peek at the motorcade, it'll be a grand and gaudy affair.

The wife interupts her tv schedule to inform me that apparently I'm negative about Thai 'culture'. I'd just finished shifting a truck load of soil in 30 plus degree heat with a shovel and wheelbarrow, and was not in the best of moods.

I says, 'ok then, how about I give up work, buy a hammock and get meself a mia noi?'

To be honest it just wasn't worth it.

I've been training and cultivating them for over a decade.

The boundary hedge is 10 foot high and in the shape of Castle walls with turrets in the corners.

The driveway entrance has an archway 3 metres wide.

The problem is it hasn't fully grown together and connected in the middle so the archway isn't finished.

I've tried miracle grow and horse Manure but it won't grow that final foot to complete the archway.

Ruddy frustrating as I've been waiting a decade for this and for the last couple of years the growth across has halted.
