Not so much as moan, but a WTF.
For the second time in 2 days the taxi driver has refused to accept the 7 baht of the meter charge.
If the meter says X7 baht he just charges the X amount.

Yup, main bedroom window open/mozzie screen closed. Aircon running at 16 degrees full-blast.

Can add another 7 days to that.

Some foknob only pressed the Timer button while drunkenly setting the remote to 16 degrees Turbo.

Oh well. that's a mistake you only make twice.

No, of course it's not comfortable, but it makes for a nice expensive-sounding mistake to be moaned about in a faux self-depracating way.
Strange that the window is opened when the AC is on, but that too makes the scenario all the more expensive a mistake to raise a laugh.

    Get up.
    Turn off aircon.
    Open the window.
    Leave the bedroom.
Aircon timer kicks in later that day.

Surely it's not too difficult for a highly intelligent teacher of advanced methematics to compute.

Probably for people that want it turned on the same time every night without having to walk into their bedroom.

Aircon remotes really do have far too much shite on them, for something that's gonna be blindly prodded and poked at come 3 am.

No passive aggressive emails for days, which probably means a storm is brewing if the last week and a half is anything to go by. Why do adults need to scream at each other in the office?!! Does my head in haha

    Nah, still dont get it.

Have you seen the Xiaomi mi stuff on Lazada, the smart lightbulbs are cool, i bought some webcams too like Cyrille which can be operated via your phone and I think the smart lightbulbs on there work together with the Mi band you have
Xiaomi are working on aircons in Asia now too, although the bit where it turns off when you fall asleep doesn't sound much fun....

Air conditioner i-Youth excellently pairs with a fitness bracelet Mi Fit (Mi Band). According to bracelet figures, air conditioning can be programmed to certain actions. For example, if a person enters the house (interaction zone), air conditioning can enable or disable, and start working on the heating or cooling.

Bracelet controls human sleep phase, and it can also be a tool for managing air conditioning. For example, when a person falls asleep, air conditioning goes into silent mode or turned off.

Also, i-Youth conditioner works well with a range of devices Mi Home Smart Kit. All events in the house can be commands for air conditioner. For example, opening a window can be command to turn off, and the movement in the house - for turn on.

Thats not in Thailand yet but have a look at Xiaomi shop on Lazada and if you buy the webcam you can pan and see if its on or look around your room to see who's nailing your Missus and leaving your aircon on
There's also an automatic umbrella on there, but what kind of cock would buy an automatic umbrella?

Automatic, as in it opens when you put your finger over the sensor?

Or as in it feels a drop of water and open automatically, stabbing you in the nads and taking an eye out of the kid next to you?

That's a very good question, in some cases they got rid of teachers who did not have that many credentials, the blame as TC said needs to be with HR on that one. The other cases is odd, as they had some form of education degree, I don't really get it, but it could have been locking horns with admin. I am crossing my fingers I am safe, I have an education degree and I keep my gob shut about admin.

Panic ensued couple of years ago when Tesco stood it's ground and refused to fall into line with Unilever's Thai-style promo pricing for Marmite. This resulted in the people championed by small capitalist vs big bad capitalist, a high stakes face off that threatened life without Marmite which spluttered and fizzled out when Unilever backed down, giving victory to the sheep that returned to graze and lost interest.

What they failed to see through, while their former champion Tesco remained strangely silent, is the illusion of Unilever appearing to hold their end of the deal while phasing out the iconic 500gm glass jar in favour of the crappy plastic 'big squeeze' dispenser which holds just 400gm, at a similar price per unit rather than per gram.

Go with the flow! Yesterday, kid asked for money to buy some water that costs 7 baht, gave him 20, he returned with 10, asked why only 10, he says the owner didn't have any baht coins. This morning same same, so I popped in all polite and friendly, no big deal about the bahts and anyway the shop's owned by a mate's mil, bought some water, gave her a 20, got 13 change and noted that she had loads of junk coins. Few minutes later gave the kid 20 and told him to get some water, guess what?
