38 lessons a week starting from Monday- pre primary prep classes. That's a lot of lessons by anyone's standard.
They've decided to make it overly academic- let's suck all the fun out of learning a language from as early an age as possible. Bah

Kick the overly academic feel of it into touch and do my own thing- art, dance, song, group work etc.
PPT presentation for 4-5 year olds is just a terrible idea unless you keep it short and sweet.
So, one thing I really don't care for about Mongolia is the soviet hangover that exits in education.

That's the way, the only way for that age group, and for teachers of that outrageous workload.

I thought you were teaching Maths... looks like you the kids would be better off with dance lessons

...does your contract specify the number of classroom hours? The rate of overtime pay? The length of your sentence? 38 hours is exploitation: if you acquiesce, you have only yourself to blame...

Problem : They are pushing you to get as much out of you as they can.

Solution : (How can you push back ? Go slow ????)

The overtime is fine and at contracted rate. However, it is really not my problem if every full time teacher for kindy has broken their contract. Perhaps if they had a decent curriculum for such young kids they could hold onto folks. There is no way I am forcing them to finish 3 worksheets every lesson, that's not learning. Admin will have to be happy with what I am doing, too bad 555

That's the go, Loopy. Don't cave in to their unrealistic expectations that you take up the slack for everyone else. Do it YOUR way, for your own mental and physical survival !

Just to note that the passport (with Visa) arrived 2 days ago - so 19 days in total. Not really a moan, just a comment.

£260 to have the dog inoculated and boarded at the kennels for a week.
    Robbing b'stards.

Ryan air robbing b'stards charging 12 quid per seat reservation.

Let's hope the rain in Spain falls mainly on the plane coz we've been flooded for a week now.

Oh and my morning constitution was interrupted, grrrr.

    Moaning rant over

People who in general lack any gym etiquette.
Strong enough the bench over 100kg, but apparently that brute strength suddenly disappears when it comes to racking your weights.

...^on that topic: Thai women who use exercise machines as perches while chatting on their mobiles; Thai women who chat at volume on their phones in proximity to other gym members; grotesquely out-of-shape women encased in garish and unforgiving spandex...

Besides deciding to rip out and replace my main bathroom, why i do these things instead of paying someone still defies by comprehension, but that's not the moan.

The moan is my stupidity. I don't like steel baths so opted for a premium acrylic bath, extra thick which it apparently has in common with me- i bought it over the net, delivered promptly and very nice too until i noticed the two tap holes weren't there.......out with the hole cutter blah blah.

Then fix the metal brackets for the feet, sturdy but razor sharp and then dragged hand across said sharp piece, a few F words later running to get the medicine kit as my hand promptly filled with blood - thought i was going to have to visit A&E but wads of toilet paper and a good dressings later all is, not well but staunched. Reckon i shed around a good 3 egg cups full of claret.

It is positively the last bathroom i install or renovate, until i retire to Thailand.

Standard procedure, if you're any good or talented instead of pacing you so that all benefit long term they will burn you out. Seen this happen too often, a natural course.

    Solution: stay ordinary

Yesterday, wife calls the gutter cleaner to swing by and clean the bird nests and leaves out of the gutters (2 fl house) I don't have a ladder tall enough.

Today, Somchai shows up at 2:15 and sends his teenage kid up the ladder to do the dirty work. Shit flies everywhere as the kid roots out two years worth of gutter garbage.

At 2:35, standing among piles of bird feathers, grass nests and decaying leaves, the twat claims they are finished and would I please pay the sum of 1,000 baht for 20 minutes worth of manual labor.

I smiled and said my wife was on her way home, please wait 3 minutes. She gave him 300 baht. I don't expect to see that twat again.

Reminds me of the Honey Wagon dude in my area who keeps trying to overcharge us for annual tank pumping.
My wife gives him the stink-eye and pays the Thai price.
