Got a big garden on the lot next to my house. Bananas, mangoes, papaya, pineapples, okra, etc, etc.

Fenced it off today. Threw up an 8Ft. fence, door with lock.

Maids from house next door came up to my driver as the guys were finishing the project.

"How are we going to pick fruit and vegetables now?"

That's the point, darling. That's the point.

You may also have to spread a rumour that you have mildly electrified the top.

^Stupid really. All they had to do was ask. But wife went out to pick some okra for gumbo, and the plants were all stripped clean. Fence was up six hours later.

Same problem here, the locals just help themselves to whatever they can when no-one's looking.

I suggested putting a guard on the job, the missus said he'd just sell the veges, fruit and fish to the locals at a bargain price (a tip).

Missus is smart though, she's gonna rent the land out in small lots to the locals at a low enough rate for them, paid for in cash or crops.

Beats all that hard work growing crops ourselves and guarding the place.

    Bit worried tonight.
The last super moon of this size was in the year I was born!
1: what does that portend for me lasting the year out???
2: what are my chances of seeing another one???

The wife is complaining that all Thais lie and cheat. Next, she accuses me of telling the truth. Why? Because she didn't believe I was telling the truth.

    WTF

The mozzie bites I got at the weekend on Ko Samet island have turned into boils / hive-like sores.. Never had bites like these before; I hope they are indeed only mosquito bites and not some horrible, vile little insect inserting its larvae under my skin..

Hopefully, I might develop some Marvel Comics -type insect superpowers.. Keep you posted.

There's already a 'Mosquito Man' so you'll have to come up with another name.

Tsetse Tim or Dengue Dan have a nice comic-book ring to them.

Hive-like...yes. But boils seem rather odd, though some sandflies can be pretty nasty.

Here's something to gladden your heart, if they get worse :
    World Health Organization, Leishmaniasis

If it was sandflies, the bites should be hellishly itchy..

Do you have B type blood? Many ppl that I know who have type B blood are more prone to mozzies. I heard that from a colleague, and I don't know if there was actual science to that claim.

Oddly enough, my sister, who has B blood, is LOVED by mozzies. Sometimes, we would be sitting together, and she would get swarmed, while I wouldn't get a bite. I'm type O. I've noticed that mozzies in PI don't like me much.

But the mozzies in Myanmar did! Even when I applied anti-mozzie lotion, they still attacked me. I had a silly thought that maybe they liked the smell of my 'fresh, tourist blood'. Lol. Upon getting back to PI, I was scared that I would get dengue or malaria, since I felt a bit feverish after my trip.
Luckily, I didn't get either illness, and it was prolly just fatigue, since I made a gruelling touring schedule. Btw, I looked at a malaria distribution map & some parts of Myanmar have it. Knowing that, I know it was silly (and a bit foolish) of me to not have taken anti-malaria medications prior to the trip.

My moan for the day: my neighbors (to the east, this time) are singing karaoke again! It must be someone's bday again. Bad thing is, it's only they guys who are singing. The girl in their group, who's a good singer, is absent. Maybe she's still at work. A lot of my neighbors are on shifting schedules.

On the bright side, they sang a song earlier, which I like. I think it's from the 70s or 80s. All my life, or something like that. The chorus goes:

There was a time, when I just thought that I would lose my mind
You came along and then the sun did shine
    Brightened up my day...

Ew... they're singing badly again... I'm trying to be a glass half full person here....

Good news is, they can only sing until 10 pm, bcos that's the new rule since Du30 became prez.

Different mozzie species in different regions. I'm "O" blood group, and never normally have much mozzie-bite palaver either.

Mozzies on Samet are big, slow bastards. When you don't swat them they drink about 1/2 pint per sitting.

Kinda disappointed in me TD forum mates. I don't seem to be getting much help in my attempt to get Cold Pizza another red star on his repo. Or is it a cabbage?

Pizza now delivered by drone, which was just his style. Now he's redundant.
