Power cuts: home and office. On and off again all fucking morning.

How these people expect to build and maintain a high-speed rail network, when one mangy soi dog pissing up a telegraph pole can nix the whole shebang is beyond me.

[QUOTE=jamescollister;3042133]I must be living in the twight zone, heard some stupid ideas over the years, but today's idea takes the cake.
BIL and his wife live here sometimes, well most of the time, they have a new house in an estate in Krabi, but prefer the jungle.

Anyway, about 3 years ago they decide to build a house in the village, local witch doctor tells them, unlucky year for them to build, so BIL asks can he build a room/bedsit type attacked to our house.
Now our house looks a bit like a motel, large roofed open area with rooms coming off both sides, so say build what you want, which they do.

Now witch doctor throws some sticks or what ever, lucky time to build a new house, but old bedsit has to come down, bad luck may follow you across the road if you leave it standing.
These 2 are not village idiots, both Uni educated, both have new cars and unlimited money it would seem. but the shaman has spoken and for good luck the bedsit needs to be raised to the ground, including the concrete floor, nothing but the earth must remain.
All this must be done before any work starts on the new house, so as I write they are moving all the furniture out,

My wife thinks they are crazy, but she wants to use the space for other things and is happy to see it gone,[/QUOTE้D Demolition has begun and I will be killing someone soon, so far, ripped the wiring for half our house out, all runs out of the same meter box, through the same circuit breaker box, you can't just knock down a room and expect the wires to regrow.
Next the water, we have none, one pump supplies all, when you rip out, cut pipes water comes out, if as in the Thai way you bury them in concrete, not easy to stop.

Think I will be getting a motel for the night, wife thinks a good idea, until I said your brother will be paying and if they don't have the new house up fast, they can pay rent for living here, we are not a motel.

And to top it off that bit of junk motorbike won't start again, may start drinking early.

Geesh mate cannot believe you sat idly by while part of your house was being demolished at the behest of a Sharman monk! Suspect a few thousand baht, a few boiled chickens, some incense and a half dozen chanting monks would have appeased the bad spirits?

Those fvcking plumbing kits you fit under the sink to drain water into the outlet pipe.

I have never assembled one that did not leak and yes I used white thread tape.

Red for repost of an original Boon Mee pic, which tagline is my current sig. You must read my signature. Did you know, even if you have ticked the box to display your sig along with your post, you need to have passed a threshold which is an x number of words in your post? No one knows exactly what that threshold is, hence my unnecessary word wasting here.

Someone go tell Luigi I PM'd his permission to repost his avatar here:

“The Master said, At fifty, I knew what were the biddings of Heaven. At sixty, I heard them with docile ear. At seventy, I could follow the dictates of my own heart; for what I desired no longer overstepped the boundaries of right.”

Not seen any of those items referred to. Pics or it didn't happen, and I would still have difficulty believing a pissed up hamster wrangler like you, even with the pics.
