For some reason I thought you said Muff Diving.

Anyway, back to my moan. I looks like I am going to have to pay these two cunts some money.

What do you all think - I am thinking 25 setang coins, in a bucket each and then tell them that I am not giving them the bucket and ditch them on the floor outside the office.

I do not think that is against the law - money is money, no?

I think you should just cop it sweet. You're not going to beat them at there own game, irritating as it is, they have you over a barrel giving them a bucket full of satang and then tipping it out will only cause the "wait for it" Loss of face. Followed by a visit by there boyfriends/brothers.and any other fucker who isn't partial to the farang, you've been here long enough you should know that

Got to be honest here, if that was reason enough for you to shut up shop and move your business out of the country, I think it was only a matter of time.

Running a business in LOS as a Farang is infamously frustrating, demanding, unfair and at times border line impossible.

I would think most people who looked back on long periods of time that they ran businesses in Thailand, wouldn't even remember the numerous hurdles such as that. Or they would certainly remember them as being by far the least significant issues they faced.

Suck it up and move on. Or you could scamper away with your tail between your legs. Your call I guess.

Easier, and much less complicated, to run your wife's business - as a silent partner.

^ But if you want to be 100% legit that wouldn't float your boat.

You just except the trials and tribulations or you don't bother at all.

Well there's always the cash flow thing to consider. Unless of course you ain't worried about that, then more power to ya.

I've found it possible to have a decent cash flow, while avoiding all the tax, accounting, lawyer, and work permit hassles. I figure I save more than 10k baht a month staying in the shadows.

    Yep..
    It can be done.

I'm of the opinion that those whom extend their unnecessary angst and concern will be the same that don't have it in them to succeed anywhere.

They already "got it," from you... Sorry couldn't resist...Now...just who's Karma are going to address first??? Your business and you attracted them to you, therefore this is a simple matter of you overcoming your anger at yourself for hiring these two dimwits in the first place. Second for trusting that other dimwit, lawyer of yours to give you proper advice. Lastly yourself for not hiring more fuckable staff in the first place.

Seems a bit rash to pull the plug on a perfectly good business over a couple of tarts that got over on ya mate. Chalk it up to experience and go have a great night out and take it out on the lonely ladies waiting for their dream man to walk through the doors of Soi 33...

    Moan for Friday:

ex #2 owns a newish house that she rents out to some Filipino teachers. The moobahn water supply is often greenish-yellow in colour which stains clothes washed in it.

I suspected tannin as the cause, but prior to the ex (not me!), buying a reasonably expensive water filter, I advised that a proper water analysis should be made, to confirm the contaminant, since it was important to specify the correct type of filter.

Rather than use the 'professional' water analysis company that I suggested, ex chose to use a 'friend' who is an agent for a drinking water filter company. (That's not quite the same thing as water filters for washing-machine water, but what the heck).

I was re-assurred that this agent would ask the local Rajabhat to analyse the water.

This dumb agent came to the house and I tagged along as translator, since the Flips spoke no Thai. I was not enthralled by this agent, who did not come with any sterile sample bottles to collect the water, but begged a couple of empty mineral water bottles (yea Gods!!). He then collected water from the running tap and the water holding tank, and forgot to label each sample, so he got them mixed up.

He then asked for 3,000 baht payment upfront to pay for the Rajabhat test, because he didn't have enough money to pay himself. The ex resisted this, but it was clear that the test was not going to be undertaken unless she prepaid the 3,000 baht.

So she did this and I got the test results today from the Rajabhat.....

They tested the ph value (yes, I could have done that...)

They told me that the level of iron in the water was ok...

They told me the turbidity was ok...

THEY DID NOT FCUKING TELL ME WHAT THE COLOUR IN THE WATER WAS!!!!!!!!

Complete fcuking dumb cnts, the agent and Rajabhat together.......

Go and get some sterile containers, take samples yourself, take them to the local rajabhat and ask them why the water is discoloured. Pay them the 200 baht they will ask for.

    Job done.

So I'm in BigC Patong, looking at external monitors for my little netbook. They have a nice little 19" LG led for 2100 baht, what the hell I buy one.
Get it home and realize I have to install he driver to make it work, but my netbook has no cd drive to run the cd which came with the monitor.
I try the the LG web site and they were down for the weekend.....
I realize I've got my old macbook which still works and have an XP partition. I load the drivers there test the monitor, it works. Then copy the driver file to a flash drive and install the driver on the network, should work right...nope!
So now I either have to cart the monitor and netbook to somchai computers in Phuket town, or buy a 3000 baht external drive to load the drivers.
Tried the LG website again this morning, fucking useless!
I guess it's worth buying an external drive just not to have to drive the car into Phuket town. Oh well...

I had a very cute notebook once for which there was a proprietary external drive. It ceased to function but I couldn't reload the programs because....and by that time it was old enough that the external drives were no longer available.
Long story short buy the hard drive.

    Sorted

I went to Banana it and got a nice little LG external drive for 1090baht. Software loaded and monitor working. Just have to fine tune it a bit.
These new external drives are small and compact now.

Seems to me that you should be pissed at the lawyer more than anyone.

You were paying him/her to make sure things like this didn't happen and now you're taken to the cleaners by two bints who hadn't even passed probation!

If your lawyer can't cross the Ts and dot the Is enough to protect from that what is going to happen if you ever get a serious case started by a long term employee?
