Just took mine: 110/70. Yup. You're real high. Do what the doc says and speedy improvement!

If they give you blood pressure lowering medication, be aware that (as with all drugs) it has side effects. I have a mate (my favourite school teacher, actually) who is now 83, and he got a few attacks of vertigo recently. It's not at all pleasant to have.....you spin out like when you're really drunk. After a few days in hospital, the doctors decided to take him off his BP lowering meds. Vertigo resolved.

The thing is though, he has also described extreme fatigue (to the point of it really stuffing up his life), and a quick Google revealed to me that these meds also deplete the body of Coenzyme Q10.....which helps us make ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and therefore energy.
I just bought him some good-quality capsules (some are more bio-available than others, and indeed there is a slightly different form of it which is) so we'll see what happens.

I'm not suggesting NOT taking BP lowering meds....just be aware of side effects. High BP can cause a stroke, and that's potentially really serious.

I hope my advice appears well-balanced.

If I had high BP, I would either take meds, or go on a very strict regime involving my diet and herbs. In other words, a natural health regime. During that time I would be checking my pressure constantly.

High blood pressure can cause really serious problems.

One of my friends recently had a stroke at age 60. He had been taking the herb licorice (not the candy form, which is actually made from molasses) because he had a really long-term cold and flu which he just couldn't clear.
One morning he had a stroke because it raised his blood pressure and he had to crawl to the phone and call an ambulance. Luckily he recovered completely.

I don't mean to scare you, but that's the reality of it.

    Crikey !

    Well, the choice is yours.

I'm not sure what actually happened, but did a doctor tell you that you may have easily had a stroke and died yesterday ? Or been permanently debilitated ?

    Just wonderin'.

With BP like that, you need to get help or you're not going to take many more walks.

I have a yahoo account and a correct password. I want to login and change my contact email address which is now defunct.
It doesn't like my password and want to send a confirmation code to the defunct address which won't do anything.
Contact Yahoo help centre and get a reply which puts me back in the same loop I can't get out of.

I'll give that a try. My user name and password is correct not sure why they need to send me a confirmation code.

    Kurgen,

That was your moan from before. Stop ruining a good drinking session with stick and a ball.

Another moan, errrm, my guitar playing is shite, and I waste so much money on it month after month after painful and stupid month. Fuk me, I'm a dense kunt...

If the recorder doesn't work out you can always sell it to CMN as a musical dildo.
