He thinks the words 'northern soul' refer to somewhere other than Detroit.

    There's no hope.

Can I have an UNMOAN previous I was moaning about my German tenant in Lao renting our gaff it seemed he was excessively fastidious. Took a while and more $ than I wanted to spend but job done.not a peep out of him for months until the other day when he send me videos with sound pointing at the ceiling and yes it sounded like there was a rat or 2 up there wearing army boots
I told him it's pretty standard call my mil. Which he did my mil.god bless her cotton socks immediately called one of her indoors daft brother who is a skinny kunt and perfect for this kind of task. He came out empty handed but put down baits today my mil sent him back in again to find1 dead rat there's more but we're onto it now. Anyway that German has a very nice hydroponic set-up that the mil has been admiring I told him this and he offered to straight away order one for her Xmas pressed via lazada and take it out of next rent. Cool. Seems I was totally wrong about that geezer. Daily Moan-img-20241109-wa0003-jpg

Someone poisoned the neighbour's dog last night. He never bothered anybody. I live far down a quiet lane, what kind of person does something like this?

Someone casing the place and removing the dog that would bark in the night?

Not impossible, although there are 3 generations living there, almost always people in the house and they are pretty much subsistence farmers. No fancy agricultural equipment or anything.

Strangely enough there are several feral dogs that move around the lane and they all seem to be present and correct.

I have an old cctv camera that I don't use. I plan to put it up where it can be seen from outside, looking at my gate. The wire will run down the back of the wall, out of sight, with nowhwere to go.

    A very common occurrence here.

Some Thai obviously had some perceived slight... maybe one of them overtook him whilst driving, or didn't wai deep enough.

Somtam Slap and at least 2 other posters have had it happen to them. It's the perfect act of Thai revenge. Cowardly, done behind their back, effective at upsetting them. The culprit will probably smile and be jolly and friendly with them now having done it. fokin' nutters.

Could be the neighbor’s dog ate a rat which had been poisoned.

Sadly, this is the third time in three years that dogs along the lane have been poisoned. Nearly all of them pets with homes, although free to roam. I keep my dogs inside the property nowadays. The feral dogs outside are no problem to me but they carry all kinds of pests and are quick to bite other dogs. They also create a racket in the middle of the night, howling or fighting or wahtever they do. It doesn't happen much in the daytime. I can understand why someone might want them gone, but poisoning people's pets is just vile.

Also possible. I don't know if anyone out here in the booneys poisons rats. They nearly all have dogs. The ratsnakes take care of some and those feral dogs must get a few. Now they are cutting rice the field rats will be back on the farmers' menus. I'll have to ask my source of all Isan knowledge if anyone puts down rat poison. She has never mentioned it and we don't have a rodent problem at all. Of course it would be a brave rat that took its chances against the dogs, which will be the reason for me asking her about rat poison.

The CWMS says she doesn't think anyone here uses rat poison, just because most have dogs. I was getting a sense that she knew more about this so I asked a few questions and eventually she said that there is an old bloke on a bicycle in the village who is believed to kill dogs. For no apparent reason. People in the village believe that he just likes killing dogs. Probably he was the culprit last year when several dogs died in my lane and the year before that. Village life is strange, the way things are 'known' but not talked about, she was obviously reluctant to discuss it with me.

WTF is the point of making a 1730 dentist appointment if you turn up at 1725 then have to wait for everyone in the waiting room to go first?

where’s the bit that says come 45 mins early to get your 1730 slot?

    Yeah, I feel your pain.
Nothing worse than dentist waiting rooms!
I had a filling yesterday and was booked in just after the dentists lunch break, so fortunately no waiting around and straight in.

It would certainly be a hi-so scouser that calls a cocktail a bevvy.
