The internet points to cystitis, kidney infection or stones or some STD beginning with Trach.

The Thai doctor "could be cancer"
He said a few other things after that, but I stopped listening
Great , oh well at least it encourages me to stay off the booze and take all the antibiotics until I go back next week for another test.

I remember asking a Thai doctor why my daughter had jaundice when she was born
    "could be lieukaemia "

Wife was quite sick a few years ago and the hospital doc (with an obviously huge ego) called the surgeon for an emergency appendectomy. They had her on the gurney when I pulled her off and took her home. She didn't have the same symptoms friends had with appendix problems in the past. The next day, our usual doc, fellow from Ohio, redid the blood work and said it was likely the flu, which it was. He said we did the right thing leaving the hospital when we did. You have to very careful with medical care in Thailand, because no one else will be.

Fox is heavily promoting a new series "Wayward Pines", and the Thai female announcer who does the Thai tag at the end pronounces is "Wayward Pies".

2 hours of TV - 10 times of "Wayward fucking Pies".

Apologize for using more than the usual allocation of moans because here comes 2 in 1 day, but they both relate to earlier moans.

Found out after making an expensive call to the IRS 'International Call Center' that the address used for my returned tax letter was indeed correct, and there is no other to send it to. So the US Postal Service needs to be tagged for that one. Makes me wonder what kind of morons they've got working there when the address includes a postal code that is unique to the specific post office box where millions of tax returns are sent.

And for moan number 2 for today, my CAT internet connection is fcuked up yet again. Upload speed normal, download speed ZERO. After an epic rant to the poor 'help' line agent on the receiving end, a service technician arrived at my house a short while later. He has spent the past hour trying to figure out this latest problem and is currently somewhere down the soi tracing it.

Edit: 3 hours later the CAT internet technician has me up and running again. Problem was a broken cable somewhere down the soi, due to tree branches blowing in the wind. Same thing happened 1 month ago and they cleared some branches then, so maybe a different spot this time. We'll see how long this connection lasts...

Should be on my way to Ubon HHH run, night on the piss with the lads, but cheap Chinese crap chopper motorbike lays dead once again.
Not one of the local alleged motorbike fixers has a clue, 2 cylinders, way to technical. Now it will be a late lunch with the wife and kids in Buntharik.

Also because they cannot analyze problems.
The same thing happens with Thai computer repairs : got a small problem with your hard drive ? Take it to many repairers and they just re-install Windows.

    No, two different things.

A clinic is usually run for about 3 to 4 hours when the doctor visits and examines the patients that have lined up by token system. The doctor examines the patients one by one, prescribes medicines and gives the directions as to how to use the medication.
On the other hand, a hospital is a 24 hour health center where patients get admitted for treatment of various diseases. There will be several doctors attending upon the patients in a hospital. Another important difference between a clinic and hospital is that a clinic normally does not have beds meant for patients. On the other hand, a hospital has many beds meant for patients.

Time for some alternative therapy with a little something I chanced upon today.....

Let me clarify the main reason for my moans about internet troubles. It's primarily to give some indication to folks who may be wondering why the number of Thailand and Asia news posts has dried up. I'm currently helping to cover that base in the absence of another poster, and I'm doing my best to keep up with the task in between other matters.

I'd love to be able to spend lots of money in addition to my internet land line connection, but the reality is I'm not rich so I need to watch my budget. The internet land line is already costing me close to 1K baht per month, plus the mobile package I have adds a chunk more to that.

I appreciate your pointers and I can consider those when finances permit. In the meantime, I can either give no indication that I'm having an internet problem, or I can give a hint on the Groan thread or some other such means of communication. Those who follow the news forum may wonder why they're not seeing new postings to the news forum if I say nothing.

^ Thanks. Had 3bb internet in Lopburi before I moved to Prachuap and had issues with their service, so I thought I'd give CAT internet a try. I also had ToT before in Lopburi and problems with that service led me to try 3bb.

I'll continue to monitor the CAT situation for a while, but I'm getting fed up with them due to having 4 separate multi-day outages just in the past 4 weeks.

I'm up and running now, though a power outage cut electrical to the house for 30 minutes earlier today. If it's not one thing it's another...

^ No excuses, Get down the internet caff and take one for the team , you lazy bastard

When I lived in Cha Am, not too far from you, I never had a problem with Cat Internet, to be fair.

The biggest culprit for my downtime there, was some guy driving off with my electric meter, which I guess was my fault

we were discussing it a while ago in the computer forum - totwifi - about 6-8 meg down , not sure about the up

I have gone to TOT fibre - 700 baht per month , 20 meg down and about 5 meg up - no cap that I can tell

if you are in a moo barn you might find that TOT fibre is available

you will be downloading your porn faster than you can jerk off to it

^ Thanks baldrick, I already have TOT fibre where I am at the moment, I'm paying the same price but for only 15 down and 2 up (only got it a couple of months ago).

I was enquiring about the TOT wifi as I'm considering moving to a more remote location soon.

Tried to book some travel today with the credit card. No go as the zip code did not match up with the address on file. Called up the credit card company and told them the problem. "Oh, we just got a new computer system and all international zip codes are now 00000, so just go ahead and use that." Went back to book my travel and it worked swell. Still trying to figure out why five zeros are better than my actual five digit zip code that has worked for me for nine years here.

Yeah, my thought also that it was a step backwards in security. Big annoyance though to try to book 3-4 times online, then talk to a human, then the bank, then finally paying for the reservation. Probably 90 minutes wasted with cuss words in three languages.
