He has ponied Up 6 months rental.in advance that's standard for Lao. Plus a $1000 security deposit. This s in $ USD and he's paying $1400 a month which is good coin considering the low aussie dollar. I pay for the pool maintenance. I prefer it to the Tennant fucking around with the filtration. I guess I shouldn't complain but this guy is something else. I actually put the rent up by $200 because I see the ngos are back in droves after covid. They are mostly on contracts for a few years and the rents paid by there outfit. So there laughing . Will.be interesting to see what happen after tomorrow when the " deep clean crew come" I suspect the world's gone mad after all this covid shit.

    It's Friday the 13th.
I guess my moan is that despite my best efforts not to be superstitious I can't get away from some nagging doubt.

Yesterday pm, I dropped my mobile on the tiled floor. All looked to be okay when I picked it up, but this morning I have the 'black screen of death'. The phone makes all the right noises but screen is blank. It happened before about 3 years ago, that time for no real reason at all. I have a spare phone, so moved the chip for now but everything is tied to that bloody phone when I get back to Germany. I'm totally reliant on bloody security apps for everything nowadays, not because I want to be but because I have to be.

As to the extended family problem, some good news. The ex husband, the one that worked in Israel, has taken in the youngest boy over week-ends and school holidays. The boy doesn't want to leave his current school, which is fair enough, at least he has someone who will take good care of him. The other boy is being looked after by his mother's sister and another cousin. He is in his teens, and they are there with him full time when he is at home, so all is looking good. We have yet to settle the land problem, but that should be in order before I return to Germany.

OK...so I seldom ever whinge but this is the 2nd day. So I ride my mountain bike to my local coffee shop pretty much every morning. The last 2 days this fucken shit bag soi dog mutt chases me and tries to bite me. Today I got off my my bike and kicked the fucker in the mouth then the ribs hard launching it into the air. It yelped and walked away with a limp. In the US I would have killed the fkr, so here is my moan,

So these fucken owners let their shitbag soi dogs just roam then cry like bitches when you put the things in their place. So I went back to my wife and said, enough, call the Mooban leader and tell him. Sadly she did the typical Thai BS and said. They will not do anything. I said show me where he lives. So she did and I was surprised she left me to argue with his wife as he wasn't home.

Around anywhere in Thailand, you get bit by some shitbag soi dog you have to go get rabies shot because they never vaccinate their dogs. I told my wife, "Why in the fuck do I have to worry about that when they should keep their mutt dogs in their yard?" I told her, "IIs funny, If I get off my bike and kill the fkr it becomes a 'Netizen" issue . While I know a few on TD do all they can to save soi dogs, I do not. I have limits. Yes its an owner issue but bottom-line once a feral mutt, they are always a feral mutt. Just euthanize them.

In the big picture this an owner issue but most owners do not give a fuck here. Just put a bowl of rice and shit outside their gate to help them when in fact that makes it worse as they live unvaccinated to bite and share diseases with other dogs.

    Rant over.

My street has a very low tolerance for uncontrolled street dogs. The community takes care of itself.

^^ Surely if it has an owner it isn't a soi dog? Very few soi dogs around our area, due to it being dog eating country!

    .
I was sat on the balcony in Spain last month ordering sangria after sangria from the downstairs bar with my phone next to me. The next day I woke up with a purple patch on my phone, but it was still working fine. About 3 weeks later, I woke up, picked it up and had the flashing screen/black screen of death. It was a drawn out death, but - as the lady on check in at Ryanair agreed when I showed her the original damage - death by sangria was a pretty cool way to go for a phone.

^^^^When I lived on the mainland in Surat Thani, I used to cycle 30 or 40 kmsper day. Frequently attacked by dogs incountryside areas.
I ended up carrying a big stick, loosely taped to the cross bar.
When I told Thai neighbours about it, turns out it is common practice in rural areas. Kids at school, both parents out at work. They set guard dogs to roam free during the day because there’s nothing else to protect their property.
Maybe different circumstances, but I still carried a big stick.
Not sure which is worse, a big breed guard dog like a bulldog, or a snappy little mongrel terrier. They can both do the same damage.
I guess the one you encountered won’t be bothering you again!

A fairly solid rant, soi dogs are feral dogs (sorry Mendy). Sometimes with owners that just let them run lose.

    Perhaps stress and misdirected anger?

Come on Troy. You have lived here. They might have a place they were puppies but once that owner doesn't want to care for them, they become shitbag diseased soi dogs. I randomly see people put out a pile of left over rice shit that people toss but for these dogs to eat.

My issue, if you have a pet, Cat, Dog whatever you are responsible to take care of it. If you can't afford it. Kill the fkr.

You fuktard old condo dweller. I am riding a mountain bike. Good grief. If I was on my ATV, I'd just run the fkr over and call it a day. You are pretty thick sometimes.

My daily moan is my car warranty. The window seal in the nearside window failed. Now in over 35 years of driving cars Inc the shite produced in the 80s never have I had a window seal fail. Apparently its not covered by the "comprehensive" warranty. Well I'm not paying as the dealership has agreed to meet the cost but it took some Frank words for this to happen and a fair few phone calls and face to face discussions......

They are stacking up. Making a curry today; used the food processor and didn't have the lid on properly so that was one wall redecorated and then proceeded to do the same with the spice grinder and finished off with spliing a load of the tamarind on the floor i had soaking. Better be a fooking good curry.
