My December/January 6-week break back in Thailand was really lovely and was the coolest during the day that I can remember in the last 20 odd years. I mean cool enough to work in the garden for 6-8 hours a day instead of a couple in the morning and a couple more in the evening. It was like a really good English summer with warmer nights.
Anyway, the last couple of days got a little warmer with temperatures in the more usual 34-35C region and I was looking forward to some cooler weather back in Germany. That was, until I arrived back...it is -3C and I have developed a really bad cold/flu causing me to go partially deaf. I was feeling cold when it got below 20C and now I feel cold permanently. Snow is on its way over the week-end and I want to hibernate until March. No wonder the wife decided to stay and look after her mum until the Spring!

I've been home since last August and apart from the occasional business trip to Bangkok have spent every single evening with mt daughter.
Today she went on a school trip to Khao Yai and won't be back until Friday. I'm absolutely lost.
I tried to Whatsapp her but no reply, not read... I have a feeling the teachers have confiscated the kids' phones.
To make matters worse I've just realised that I only have one episode of Doc Martin left to watch.
What a shite evening.
