That was my first impression too. Feels like you're imprisoned in that office.

I'll have to take your word about the state penitentiary, but to be honest I've lived in this house so long I don't even notice the bars any more. I don't really think we need them, there's certainly nothing worth stealing here and six dogs running about probably provide the best protection we have.

We have been burgled once in the 15 years we've lived in this house... someone hack-sawed through one single bar to gain entry... he must have been a lot slimmer than me. But anyway, I'm used to them now and what a job it would be to remove them all.

Obviously not the 3000 model. That orange sphere is the sun... and definitely not to be put where the sun don't shine. But if you're really interested I've got a green one that isn't used. Just send me an address.

But ain't we all metaphorically imprisoned, in a way?

Job applicants are few and far between, would you believe. There's currently an opening for a cleaner/general dogsbody but not a single inquiry.

    ^ I'm on to it!

Now that I seem to be spending more time at home, more moans are becoming apparent.

Since Dan's sad demise upset the status quo there has been a lot of squabbles between certain members of our pack, necessitating the separation of Tommy and Coco away from the workshop to our side to sleep on the outside sofa at night. They don't really enjoy this and are fast little buggers, so at the end of a long, hard day I now have to pass my glass through the gate to the gardener's side for a small snifter of his finest Ya Dong. The problem is, with a full glass which cannot be tilted, how to retrieve without spillage? A smaller glass may be in order.

You are a dousy fukker sometimes all you need to do is keep a bottle of his ya dong on your side of the gate.

Sweat rash, never had it before - how do you fix it apart for waiting from it to go away naturally?

    Johnsons baby powder.

Or there's something stronger in Thailand that comes in a tin, forget the name.
A prickly heat menthol powder, stings like fook at first especially around the lower regions.
