^ Absolutely. In fairness people likely spend more time with work colleagues then they do with friends or family at home(especially around this narcissistic area). Tempers are bound to flare. The more people the greater the problems. Toss in cultural diversity and the equation for issues grows larger. The bonus component is EGO's and "The HERO" types coupled with the deflection/ toss them under the bus at every chance people.

    Great fun.

But I see the double doors at the end of the proverbial tunnel now.

The other day they had a drive in my neighborhood where they put a gigantic dumpster in the area and you can bring your items to throw away for free. I don't know if this is a moan, but it is sure sad how the US and other Western countries have become totally disposable. Everything. The items I saw being tossed were functional or just needed a few minutes of some effort to keep it usable. The manufacturers make it all to be thrown out. As soon as a new product is released its virtually obsolete and parts are difficult to find or if they are available in many cases its cheaper to buy a new item versus fixing what you have. Along those lines, it is disturbing how mechanically inept people have become. People cannot do basic dis-assembly and reassembly.

My moan is this. Today I visited the Motor Expo in Bangkok. It was bloody brilliant as usual.

But those Big titted, farang nosed, plastic, bleached models do my head in. Fookin rubbish they are.

    The good news is,

There were heaps of normal drop dead gorgeous Thai girls getting around.

    All good innit.

^Wouldn't allow that t.v.show today in this p.c.world Looper...sad innit?

Made several mistakes today...took the wife, her brother and best friend to the Chiang Rai peoples hospital to visit the Aunt who just had back surgery.

    1. BIL kept burping all day long, never stopped...also talked a mile a minute from beginning to end except when he was filling his mouth with free grub.
    2. Best friend get pukey due to travel in a car/truck. Drove extra slow and careful in case she up chucked inside.
    3. Hospital still looks like a war zone in Iraq, must have had bodies lying on top of bodies today. One old lady lying there on the gurney with her head thrown back mouth gaping wide open in a death spiral...the bad part was I forgot my camera.

These places have to be for the seriously destitute, why else would you got to a place and sit for hours, in hellish heat, with people in dire straights all around you. Everywhere you look is pain and suffering. They ran out of room on the first floor for new patients receiving and filled the second floor mezzanine.

Pitiful poor...yup, this new government is changing things for the better...bullshit!

    Unfortunately mate,

This is what anyone in Thailand can expect if one has no health insurance and can't afford a private hospital.

The scary part is that destitute falang who are incapacitated are arsed into these hospitals.

    Unfortunately its not that easy.

I was reading a story the other day concerning a 71 year old guy who had fallen over and sustained a serious head injury.

He was banged up in a Private hospital with no Insurance.

The Hospital was doing a deal with his family to take a reduced payment and he would then be fuked off into a Public hospital.

God help that poor bastard huh.

^Yea, its not easy anywhere when your destitute and the family abandons you. He can reach out to his Embassy for plane fare payable upon his return to his homeland when and if he has any cash to pay back with...

Years ago I was quoted this, "There's nothing worse than a foreigner who's poorer than the Thai's." Nobody wants them.

If you're going tits up in Thailand just think what it would be like in their own country...massive welfare states alert!!!

Unfortunately often it's the man who moves to Thailand in his 60s and gets screwed who 'abandons' the family . . . the elusive 'freedom'

Nearing the income tax filing deadline for the USA - major groan. Even politicians shake their heads in disbelief at the unbelievable bullshit the Infernal Revenue Service generates.

Here's an example of one of the worksheets from the 104 pages of filing instructions (and that is just for the main 1040 form). This one is used for determining the amount of tax owed when a filer has capital gains from the sale of stocks, mutual funds, etc.

I left the dimensions of the jpg file large so you can see the details of the BS the IRS expects people to jump through while doing the calculations. The file size is not too big at 216KB, so hopefully it won't create any download issues for members with slower connections.
