Yeah. Reading same info. My wife and I have a 6 day Koh Samui trip coming up but if this soars air travel might be shit canned so we will have to reschedule it to a later date. We were hoping to do a few more beach resort gigs before they let all the Chinese back.

Oh they wants us. Its revenue in thin times and as long as you live in Thailand they are happy. Its all booked as a Thai national so they do not know a whitey is coming... However if Covid continues, flights may be disrupted pushing our trip out. I am OK with it. Price doesn't change, just a date. We have one other trip in June as well. We booked up some top resorts at bargain basement prices when the govt was promoting domestic travel.

Exactly my thoughts. The bus, due to Songkran travel, was booked full. And this was pre covid panic so its not the every other seat set up. They are sardines. Oh well such as life.

Lots of Bangkokians has fortunately cancelled their songkran visit to Samui but there is still enough of them coming to create a covid disaster here. We should learn from Bangkok and Phuket that this is not the right time for party together.

Oh I agree. Our trip is after Songkran but I suspect they will pull the plug on travel once the cases soar. Back to lockdown we go......

My moan is the idiots who spread this thing. Here in Nongbualamphu it is so boring even Covid didn't want to come here. A year of watching this be news elsewhere. Then today I learned that a young person who visited one of the Thonglor bars where the infectious UK variant surfaced came back to Nongbua very recently and later felt unwell. He or she is now in the local hospital, confirmed Covid positive.

Wife informed me that in our Sub district little village area they just had a reported case yesterday. Some girl from BKK. We had not had one reported case anywhere near us. Its been really a Non Covid life for us in general. But now, The Grand Poobah mooban leader just got on the big speaker system and announced the Covid case so I am expecting full on body suits and masks.
