One look at the bathroom and they knew it was a grime scene.

Mendip went to the doctor and said “I keep dreaming my eyes change colour”. The doctor said, “Don’t worry, it’s just a pigment of your imagination”.

If my daughter grows up to be a black teenager I'll be very surprised. Not in a good way or a bad way of course, but it would raise a few questions.

Good idea covering the contents of the room under the duvet to avoid paint splashes.

She' ll want a big girl lilac room next then a black teenagers room then hopefully she'll decorate it herself with murals ,print outs and posters
I'm hoping the sky blue (or Sea Foam Mist) will also cover 'big girl lilac'... I should be good for five years at least.

No way will we be having black bedrooms, it took two coats to cover the pink.

It takes a (wo)man to admit he is not hung well, I think the phrase “where I cannot reach I can squirt” is appropriate for use.

I awoke to find the compound I live on totally barricaded and sealed off from society by the police. Apparently there is a case of covid about. I'm not going anywhere for 14 days I guess.

Yeah, I can read and understand most stuff. It seems like up to 14 days, but probably 3 is the best bet. I'm hoping for 3 days but am still pretty annoyed this happens on the birthday weekend.

On the plus side, you'll have plenty of time to familiarise yourself with your new apartment. Or is this still the old one?

I shit you not...the toad has returned. Today it is getting a bucket ride down to the Yo River about a kilometer away. If it is lucky I'll drop it from the road bridge into shallow water, if not, onto rocks.

^^ This is currently the most famous toad in Thailand, and faithfully returning to see you.

I think you should open a Toad Blog.

Confirmation of the toads ID photo would alleviate our doubting Thomas.

I'm surprised there are no Thai recipes for this seasonally abundant delicacy.

You should count yourself lucky that your garden attracts toads. They are a blessing in disguise and not to be chucked over the fence.

^ Had a headache all day yesterday and i never ordinarily get them.

My moan is a bit belated, its from yesterday.

Since the advent of the outright ban on giving away plastic bags with shopping , well nearly all shops, there has been a blessed reduction in the amount of the bloody things seen fluttering away whilst caught in hedgerows, however:

What is noticeable and what i see more of is fooking McD and KFC takeaway refuse, that morons who frequent these establishments seem to think they can merrily toss out their vehicle windonws. I just cannot understand the mentality of it. I hate these fast food establishments at the best of times and if people want to eat that shite its up to them but then for them to blight the countryside with the advertising laden left overs makes my blood boil. I'd slap a £1 a meal levy on the fukers.

You see it a lot in UK motorway service areas. Family eats their takeaway in the car and when they drive off there are piles of bags, boxes and cups beside where they had parked. Tossers.

In Thailand you see the same thing, except that here after they drink their iced matcha and the car drives off you find a couple of plastic cups full of ice, with plastic lids and plastic straws in purpose-designed plastic bags, either side of the car park space. Too idle or ignorant to get out and walk 5 metres to the rubbish bin.
