Coming on 20 years with BBL and in recent times iBanking with never a problem. Then I got hacked last year, since changed my phone/emails and also happened to move home, which means updating those sets of contact details across all accounts.

Also had a tickle recently and this morning decided to channel some of it to a good cause, which means adding a 3rd party account, OTP sms for verification and off we go; should go. Only, BBL haven't updated my contact details in the past year despite two branch visits, forms, copy passport etc, and I know that a clone of my previous phone number is out there somewhere, so they're sending my OTP to someone else which means I can't add any 3rd party accounts, so I have to trek across town which defeats the object of this blinding technology.

Called them by phone, 18 minutes of we love you but please wait interspersed with music, and credit where due it was quite calming, eventually got through only to be cut off, so they called me back, on my new number, to tell me they can't update it just yet but will investigate what happened to the update forms I filled out last month, and last year! That's not what I want, an investigation, they can do as they please, but preferably after my details are updated across all accounts, so that somebody else isn't receiving my OTPs, account statements and other info while the bank keeps nagging me with advice on how to keep my accounts secure!

Then the vet called to say can't pick up Jimmy because the driver took a day off!

Splendid meal at Robin Hood yesterday, which started today well, but volatility is high.

I just cant get up in the morning anymore. I used to be an early riser. But 10-12 years of failure with no end in sight wears on a guy. Coffee , kratom and e-cigarretes is how I try and wake
    up.

Maybe I should try a whisky shot and a game of Russian Roulette every morning to try and wake up

    Yup - - definitely worth a moan.

If you are self-employed it does make sense to use an accountant, they aren't necessarily that expensive . . . and a tax deduction on your following year's returns.

I ve been doing some of the initial grunt work myself then the bean counter does the rest . I just think it's kinda weird to hand over all your personal spending info to some accountant shithead. But this is too unbearable. I'd rather shove my penis in a coffee grinder.

Yesterday I visited Mr DIY in Khao Talo and bought about 20 Chinese Lego-type kits for military hardware, cost 1800 bt. Not the first time, I often buy kits for the youngest and his friends, and sometimes a batch for a local kids' home. They're cheap enough and also educational, come with a chart of all the pieces and how they're supposed to fit together. Something didn't feel right at the store, but I couldn't put my finger on it.

The first box we opened last night was naturally the largest, cost 330 baht, with several army vehicle kits in sealed plastic bags. Except, one bag was open and its pieces were strewn throughout the box. I examined the box more closely, and discovered it was not factory sealed but had clearly been opened and resealed. Further discovery during assembly revealed that some parts were missing from this bag, rendering the kit impossible to complete and resulting in disappointment to the lad and his mate.

Next, took this cue to examine the other kit boxes, and discovered two more that were clearly not factory sealed, with evidence they had been opened and resealed. The plastic kit bag in one of these boxes had been torn open and resealed with tape, while the one in the other box was torn and remained unsealed. I don't know if there are any parts missing from either of these kits, having immediately removed them to avoid risk of further disappointment.

In the civilised world company policy would include measures to restrict the likelihood of faulty goods from reaching the shelves, and even after 20 years in Thailand complacency can leave you expecting to receive what you pay for.

It may be that a previous buyer returned these kits to the store for some reason, and that staff put them back on sale without bothering to check for tampering. Or something else, either way it shouldn't be my problem.

Current status: a polite enough email to Mr DIY explaining the situation and inviting their comments.

    Bastards!

So a '3 Cup' Bodem coffee press only holds 12 fluid ounces of liquid. Last time I checked three cups would be 24 fluid ounces. Look I know I'm a simple and unsophisticated guy so is there any sane explanation as to why someone somewhere thinks four fluid ounces poured into an eight fluid ounces cup is enough. Wasted 900 baht on Bastada.

TMD Nan weather radar has been displaying the same set of looped images since 5 August. Pissing a lot of folks off. Many including me have sent messages to TMD for zero response.

Want to increase debit card limit. Bank says go to ATM.

    "Input passport/ID number"

    Mine starts with a G

After many attempts go inside the bank. "Will have to talk to supervisor" Mutter, mutter , mutter. "Sorry ATM can only do numbers"

Then why does the keypad have letters printed on it.

    Muppets.
Better to think inside the pub, than outside the box?

Went and got me eyes / pupils dilated this morning to check for glaucoma.

Don't have it, awesome, but apparently everything is going to be blurry for the next six hours.

    Cool.

It's the 'bird's eye view' feature, and explains a lot of his previous dates.

Holy fuck. Major Charlie horse this morning. Go to stretch my leg, could feel it grab but couldn't release in time. SNAP. AWWW FUUUUCCCKKK .yelled in pain for awhile , did the funky chicken in bed for awhile. Now I'm walking around on the tip of one foot.

It felt like someone took a ball peen hammer and struck me on the calf. I probably won't walk normal all day today

^ I used to get cramp in the calf muscles a lot when I was swimming regularly. Pointing toes when diving as well as front and back crawl were the major culprits. I feel your pain...

I never really realized it could be from positioning. It just seems to come once or twice a year.

^ When my calf cramps the foot is pointed and it's a real effort to grab the toes and pull the foot back...the relief when you do is worth it...
