    Never fcuking ends does it!

Gone to Central for my dark rye, regular assistant, one of the two lifers that have seen me almost weekly for 11 years since they opened, knows exactly what I want and how I want it, waves a hi, I point to 3 loaves, he says 2, which I used to have for the first 10 years or so, I say no from now it's 3, he gestures sliced, I smile a yes, and as he gathers the 3x2kg loaves, proud as a peacock either for working out 3x4 or for remembering my eccentric demands he says 12 bags, I give a thumbs up and trot off with the trolley and a couple of kids in tow, safe in the knowledge that someone who knows is on the case.

Returning to the counter 20 minutes later, 3 large and now familiar paper bags sit happily awaiting collection. Don't need to open them, been here before, caught his attention and pointed to the bags, he skates over with solly solly I give to her to do, she's heard it and glares at me while giving him a low volume mouthful, this could go anywhere so I jump straight in with no ploplem no ploplem this also good, he seemed grateful for that, and I ended up with whatever she decided I really want.

Next time never mind my shopping, I shall stand there and supervise the entire complex process.

Why on earth Jabir can't take them home and cut them himself, God only knows. It would save an awful lot of unnecessary stress for all.

That's what their industrial slicer is for, it's called customer convenience. Don't know if I had a moan about it earlier but the last batch or the one before weren't sliced at all which I only discovered at home. The complexities used to involve slicing, then it expanded to whatever else can be botched.

I could quite happily live without this fortnightly heart in my mouth wondering wtf it will be this time.

My wife taught me that there are only two solutions to things that bug us.

Learn to live with it, or throw money at it.

You can have this thing that eats at your soul for the rest of your life, or pony up the cash to get a bread slicer.

Life really is too short to let this shit get the better of you, trust me on this. Bite the bullet, get the slicer and be a whole lot happier.

A little bit of tension around the house up here in the wilds of northern Nan province. Our ten month old black Labrador came into season and after a couple of days on what I suspect would pass for teenage pashing, she and the 14 month chocolate were about to get it on. We intervened and the female is confined in the house (mainly our bedroom) and the male outside. He was beside himself in frustration and anguish and she also has tried a few tricks to get to him. Things calming down after three days of isolation. I've taken the male for two long and hard walk slogs today and yesterday to get him to release some of the pent up energy. A couple more days I think...I hope so anyway because I'm suspecting the wife has imposed an unspoken household copulation ban for the time being. We'd eventually like to have these dogs produce a litter but would prefer it to be when the female is at least 18 months. So might have to do this again once or twice before letting nature takes its course.

One would think that all this becomes stale after a while and the desire to try alternatives would be eminent.
    Guess not.
    Obviously.

Not really a moan, but not sure where else to put it.

So the first thing I got when I woke up yesterday was the missus telling me "we are out of cats". Now we have three, so was not sure how we managed to run out of them. So I asked her "we are out of cats?" she replied "Yes. I was cooking and we ran out of cats". Brain whirred sluggishly for a few seconds before the light came on "you mean gas?". She replied "Yes. cats".

So I threw a porrige bowl at her. Nah. I laughed.

But thinking about it, for a moan, as she gets up an hour or so before me, it means that when I wake up she wants "conversations" straight away. The absolute last thing I want when I have just woken up is a serious conversation about her family, her best friends latest drama, or what ever is the latest thing she has been fretting about. I need time and coffee before I want to talk about anything. And that really includes cats.

People who don't drink don't understand how painful a hangover is.

i checked my bank account and found about 70's worth of unauthorised transactions to Playstation Network.

Turns out the youngest has been on a spending spree over the weekend buying a virtual currency called "V Bucks" with my bank card.

He admitted his fraudulent behaviour under cross examination and is now getting stuck into his 47 pending school work tasks.
