    Sorry I may not have explained it properly. The emergency vehicle was one of those freelance pickup with a 'Carryboy' covering the cargo space that cruise the highways here. And it was the auxiliary hospital staff that dropped him off of the trolley. Unfortunately it wasn't funny to see.

    PS As far as I know the police will not give first aid or transport anyone to hospital. They'll wait for an ambulance. Witnessed 2 traffic accidents with police in attendance and they just paint white lines on the road.

    Oh dear, so it's those ambulance for cash people that have no basic first aid training?

    1. The formula is 5x - 33 = 2062
    5x = 2062 + 33
    5x = 2095
    x = 419
    So Stanley has 419 minus 33 = 386

    2. 4x + 236 = 4160
    4x = 4160 - 236
    4x = 3924
    x = 981
    Dorothy has 1x + 236 = 1217

    No maths homework today thankfully.

    Caught up with an old Shetlandish mate last night so felt a bit ragged this morning...

    Anyway, was sitting at work today and felt a strange lump on my leg. An investigation revealed one of yesterday's socks stuck in my jeans. Spent ages looking for that last night...

    I found it hugely amusing. Kind of thing I could do in my teens.

    Was plugging in the power supplies for phone, the notebook, the monitor in the office today and thought.

    There are more wires today than there were when it wasn't the wireless age.

    Last week, some prick nicked me license plates.

    An hour down at the Motor Transport place.

    At the end I was asked to cough up a bit over BHT 1,000 ... stolen or not, you still have to pay

    Got me some special headed screws so hopefully it won't happen again.

    One has to wonder who would want to steal number plates and why. Thieves obviously .....to carry out some criminal endeavour and blame/frame someone else? Did you report the theft to the police, David?

    Yep, reported to the Police, can do that over the phone (I'm in the West ATM).

    Heaps of cars in the street, no idea why mine.

    Also they have an LPG sticker on them.

    ---

    Why steal them?

    They have an unregistered car (no plates) and want to move it?
    Fill the petrol tank up and drive away?

    ---

    But I consider myself lucky.

    Earlier this year, neighbour had their house broken into, swiped the car keys, lifted the sliding front fence gate off it's tracks (had to take the motor cover off apparently) and stole their newish red Golf GTR ... easy $30,000 of car.

    My rattler wouldn't trouble the scorer much past $2,000 I reckon.

    Oh, the neighbour decided to buy herself a Beemer with the insurance.

    We are in a relatively Hi-So neighbourhood and, despite being fairly tight-knit (we know each other), bit of a magnet for thieves.

    Yeah, it'll be a burglary, then a petrol station drive-off or two. And it's probably the same colour and model as yours.....though perhaps not.

    That's my first thought, next would be a fetish, then a mind game by someone you pissed off, and nothing in 4th place.

    Sat here on a fine BKK morning, enjoying this course.

    My moan: I left a pretty detailed plan of lessons to cover while I was away to prepare the kids for a test. Mostly followed, apart from one person who decided to do the test early with one course and just show movies or something until the end of term.

    Comical moan: We are supposed (no, we have to) do a group presentation, all seemed to go swimmingly until 2 members decided they had major beef with each other. Less drama with kindergartners 555
