Just back from 3 days in Ayuthaya, brother of mate got inducted and must say it was the best religious event I've had the pleasure to attend.

Main moan for yesterday is leaving my phone at the resort when we went for the big day which included quality feed for some 200 people, skimpy dancing girl troupe that started out fairly tame and an hour later quite erotic, and the hour-long prance around the temple which itself turned quite suggestive; survived 6 hours before the heat+humidity-breeze wiped me out and we had to leave, so missed the late pm/evening fireworks etc, and whatever happened this morning.

Excellent resort, 650 for clean and modern everything, my bad for not doing a lulu, and main moan for today is whichever heritage site we stopped at on the way back, was 10 bt for Thais and 30 for farangs but couple of months ago someone decided farangs won't notice if they up it to 50 which gave me the hump though I should be over it in a few days. I'm sure there's a thread or few on dual pricing, and each to their own but I don't like these arrogant reminders that no matter my ties or how long I live here it'll always be as a lower being.

But you get 4 quarters and you get 4 bags. The problem is that you do not tell them to put each quarter into a different bag. You need to expand your vocabulary and then use it.

And if your Thai is limited to being able to use only 4 or 5 words when 8, 10 or 12 is actually necessary, it's quite likely that your tones are not very accurate, possibly leading to more confusion or the "smile at the farang and hope we guess correctly what he really wants" scenario.
