    Excellent peanuts.
The bloated package is because it's filled with nitrogen to 1. exclude O2 and thus prevent oxidation, and 2. to create a cushion so that the contents don't get crushed.

Perhaps referring to the lack of edible content, caused by inflation and portion controls.

Got dragged down to The Mall in Korat today because my daighter needs a new pair of those slippers for knocking about in the garden. I cannot say how much I enjoy coming home after six weeks offshore to go to The Mall on a holiday weekend.

Needless to say nothing in her size. In the 'back to school' bargain bins, nothing smaller than size 4. Are Thai kids all sasquatches?

Now trying for Adda slippers on Lazada... nothing between size 1 and 4. Some sellers even say 'no specified size'. Who the hell buys random size shoes on the internet and just hopes the right size turns up??

Btw, just discovered this thread and it could have been made for me. Korat just does that.

Wife had me buy a new storage cupboard, 200x100x40 cm and came in 3 bloody heavy packages, which I just about managed to squeeze into the Jag with the front seats full forward.

Instructions state a 2-man job for 1 hour...ha fooking ha!

Started this morning at 9:30 and finished just about 16:15, with a 1/2 hour coffee break. Wife helped to hold a couple of bits and to turn the damn thing over, and over again as bits needed adding. I had to take it apart at the halfway stage when I discovered that the joining bits labelled D and D1 were subtly different items with a thread length difference of about 5mm, that made all the difference between success and fooking fail.

It does look nice though, now it's finished ...

This has been mans life since self assembly furniture was invented. Then they give you for assembly instructions, a Chinese wiring diagram, badly translated into Thai, or Swedish, or even worse, English.

Take care you never even think about buying a self assembly house!

    ^^

Google Photos is one of the best ways to store, backup and view your photos if you have a smartphone. It will also seamlessly upload them to your Google account storage. If you don't have it, get it. It's a free download in the Google Play Store.
Once it's downloaded, you just have to allow Google Photos access to your photo and video library, tap Backup and Sync and all of the photos and video on your phone will be copied to the cloud where you can access them from anywhere!

One thing i found out a while back. If you delete the original image from your phone, the cloud version goes. Careful what you delete.

Despite charging huge fees my daughter's school refuse to simply send out paper letters but have a system whereby they announce a new letter on Twitter and you then have to access the school website, find the letter and then invariably print it out anyway for a computer illiterate spouse. I even end up doing this while away working across the globe and attaching a pdf of the letter to an email. Why the school can't just put a letter in the kid's school bag I don't know...

I braced myself to teach the wife how to do this while at home this time. So, I open her a Twitter account, save the link on her phone, download the link to the school website on her phone and our pc, saving all usernames and passwords, and then patiently explain how to finally find the school letter.

I eventually finish my tutorial and the wife goes, "so what about this Twister thing then?"

Yep, same here. They do send normal emails though, thankfully.

I bought a Samsung last week, was setting it up and noticed it already has an unfamiliar gmail address listed on it with 4 received google emails in Thai from the date/time I bought it. Not happy.
