This is the local "mall" ( it's shit, like most things here!) having a very comprehensive fire drill at 11 pm. Very loud, power off in the neighborhood and the usual screaming and yelling at the top of their lungs. Another sleepless night on a workday, great! That's the entire fire department,btw; so if my apartment block goes up in flames, I'm toast! 6 engines for the entire city-scary! Not got much love for Myanmar at the moment with the blatant ethnic cleansing, racist locals, shit everything and inedible food.

I can only assume that the US Marines once paid a good will visit to the senior school near to my home and donated some marching band uniforms and some brass instruments many years ago? Unfortunately they only left one musical score for them to practice with, The Halls of Montezuma. I'm not joking, but for the last 12 years nearly every school day the pupils try to play this music. Nothing else. It's driving me nuts. When they ain't playing it I'm fcuking humming the shit.
