You are really quite varied with your painting now.
That’s the beauty of being retired Wills ,, time to try out many different things , while I have time left ,, we should be over in November now all this testing , quarantine shite is gone , maybe for a few months so I shall be out painting most days in the heat somewhere as sitting with the family for hours on end listening to their endless fascination of the cost of everything coupled with that wonderful nam bla aroma tends to leave me a little disinterested to say the least
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
Another little plein air splodge ,, this is an area called Landemere creek I have painted it on here somewhere before in watercolour , this is a little 8 by 8 oil which I cocked up because I ended up with direct blazing sun in my eyes , I couldn’t see a bloody thing , but anyway a lovely afternoon by the lapping water.
Bit of history here going back to about mid 1700’s a chap called surname Gull was one of the suspects to be the Jack the Ripper character , he was one of queen vics surgeons and lived down here in the cottages right behind me .named Gulls cottages now and that building I’m painting was the Kings Head he drank in along with all the smugglers that came up this creek . Quite an interesting place lovely down here about a 10 min drive from my home
You capture the colour of the water really well.
Where I live mate on the east coast Frinton on sea ^
Btw thanks everyone for your comments etc ,, so sorry I’ve no idea how to send repo back etc ,, been a bit out of touch how this all works
anyway glad your enjoying the show will do my best to keep posting
were off to the canaries next week so I will have my crappy acrylic gear with me but it’s better than nothing ,, will try and post something for you from there
Just back from the most wonderful week in the canaries Lanzarote a pleasant 27 deg with virtually zero humidity or any poxy mozzies ,, the misses complained she was too hot !
Nevermind back in the 15 deg Uk now
Here are a few little acrylic splodges I did out there plein air whilst Jan made full use of the villa pool and wi fi
I really hate that plastic cak , but as the airlines won’t allow oil it’s better than nothing ( just )
Thanks
Nigel - glad you had a nice time, I used to go there as a child and have fond memories, especially of the pistachio ice cream! Great paintings, you have a way with your blues that I really love.
Humbert - Nice to see you old boy! Excellent paintings as well. Those two buildings looks like the Grand Diamond condo buildings on Petchburi road. Love the shout out to Rolex 555
One should listen twice as much as one speaks
