Very very few cold days here mate , full sun xmas eve and Xmas day , been lovely . Been a ton of rain previously though , our favourite Boxing Day walk along the Stour at Dedham where I paint is completely under water . Happy and healthy New Year to you and your family

I love how these old oaks survive being hit by lightening surviving and regrowing this one is not too far away from me I have painted it in the summer plein air , but this was from a photo I took ,,, oil on MDF
The Felixstowe foot ferry moored up at Harwich in the closed season , it was bloody cold painting there Monday oil on board

I am no bird spotter Nige but I think they might be geese.
Here are 2 of the geese from my local pond enjoying the puddles after the recent deluge.
Jolly good soak we got down under last weekend

No mate ,, hes my best mate for over 50 years , his central nervous system has all but completely collapsed . Tommorow Friday I shall be looking after him , bit of personal care to and nice tidy up for the weekend
