:)
what do I win?
Sorry Al the first two are not Keith Flint and Ted Heath.
I would take a stab at John Bon Jovi ?
Anyway now I've had my guess ,, I would like to say a big welcome and thank you for taking part in this thread Immi ,,
BTW mate believe you me I aint no master ( even at putting bait on hooks :) )
I am just a lorry driver who happens to enjoy ( trying ) to paint + draw I have had no training and have just taught myself by experimenting and getting books from the local library .
Hopefully the more people like yourself come forward it will either encourage others to either have a go or post up some material they already have .
Once again thanks for taking part :england:
Its david bowie, number 1
Sorry i aint got a scooby doo about the rest
Still no winners on the first two. Don't want to get too far off course on the thread so... The first is a warped Al Pacino and the second, Walter Kronkite.
johnny nice painter FAST SHOW - YouTube
I couldn't resist...
:sorry:
:smileylaughing:
ha ha that fast show video made me laugh
in fact I saw another one i liked too
Fast Show Johnny. c/o BBC - YouTube
In real life you cannot but admire the sheer enthusiasm of amatuer painters ,and
Water colour artists do seem to hate black.
The video repeats something I was reading about,
how you might mix in a bit of the colour that is opposite in the colour wheel
eg a green objects shadow could have a purple tinge to it to set it off , rather han just been boring grey or black
black
black
That bloody video I think was based on me Rob :)
Anyway Bluey , there you go again , you see you have an interest and also a basic understanding of how opposites attract on the colour wheel ,, so cmon ! get that bloody painting gear undone and strike up !
I hope were not gonna have to put you down as one of them ( curious ) painters :)
Ok well onwards and upwards as we move into the festive season in the UK in comes the bloody cold , so a little watercolour to get us underway to remind all you lucky lads in the warm how cold it gets here .

It must be said you've got some talent Nige. The winter scenes are top class.
Some absolutely great creations there Nigel.
Do you sell your prints and if you do I might purchase some to put them up around my house.
Lets talk.
Thanks kindly CM and LT for your kind remarks .
LT if you would like anything just PM me mate your details to mail to you and I will send off to you with my pleasure. There is no charge mate for this at all ,, if it gives a little pleasure to you then its good for me ok ?
Right I've been busy here are some paintings in mixed media: oil, watercolour, Crayon, or was it acrylic ? that I knocked up over the last few days !
ok ....
I didn't actually do them myself , my paints are still cellophane wrapped waiting for my inertia to end ,
a program I downloaded 'painted' then ;
but I was the DJ on the myriad adjustment knobs and sliders ,
and it was definitely me who pressed START.
99% of its output is garbage so it's helping me learn what works and what does not , for when I begin myself,
and I do remember reading digtal art would be welcomed on this thread :spin:
ok lets kick off with fruit and veg painting
yes, an idea pioneered by Giueppe Acrimboldo in the 16'th century ,
forget normal brush strokes, he painted stuff from the greengrocer blended to look like a portrait.
For a template I used a Mogigilani painting i like -
Jeanne Hebuterne with Hat and necklace

Thanks PP for your appreciation mate ,, keep looking in I am allways churning one out .
However I am deffo a truck driver mate , have been for over 38 years now ,, spent 20 years of it with this mob ,, we was Tolemans , then Axial then Silcock + Collins then Ansa now Ford motor company do they're own transport direct , not through contractors .
Happy days !

Good effort Bluey ,,, now start with .....NEW under file then strike off on your own ,, if you wanna have a bang at digital imagary try a free prog Gimp 2.8 for Windows or Mac ,, its one hell of a free prog
