to be honest, I dont like your electronic picture, but I love your watercolours.
sunsetter, cheers for posting, you've captured the sunlight reflection really well in the water.

Dunno which electronic ? one your on about Swill ,, but its fair comment but TBH in MHO art takes all forms and shapes and I like to keep an open mind and all I am trying to do here is to hopefully jog a few others into either putting some art work they have already done or inspiring them to have a go
BTW thankyou kindly for the compliments , I have lots more , and hopefully as I learn more I will hopefully one day turn out one I am really happy with
Its been great to see Sunny joining in ,, and looking forward to mabe one of his oils appearing , when he gets round to it.
Bluey keeps threatening to have a go , he has done on other threads in the past , so mabe he will grace us with his artwork one day.
I dont wanna just keep sticking my old toot on here , but I don't want it to die , although hopefully now its started anyone can add as and when .
I'm proud of my 38" waist , also proud I have never done drugs
^
Yes , well ,....trouble is I do quiet like the idea I could be good at panting , so why spoil it by by taking the cellophane of my lovely pristine paint set and butchering up a canvas or two and finding it's just something else i'm useless at ?
you might still inspire me to have a go one day, until then please add a few more of yours
Cmon mate ^ FFS get em out ! mate its not a thread about being good at art its just about sharing our experience .
Dear ol Sunny clearly has a skyline experience going on , and its great to share the experience .
Do you know years ago I got a small group of English + Thai together and finally convinced them we should all go out and paint in situ together and they absolutely loved it ! It didn't matter none of us was ever gonna make it as painters , but we had so much fun and learnt so much together .
So cmon Bluey + others unwrap that gear + shake them brushes
Good stuff Nige - well done.
Does spray paint count? Unfortunately this is all I have at my house right now, I have no talent & not a great effort but just something to do to kill a few hours.

Not mine, but my 12 year old lads that he did a couple of years ago.
You put LSD in your kids coco pops too

great too than all the animals are depicted peacefully ,and not involved in a mass brawl .
Blimey Blue, you've never worked the door have you.
Look carefully at Tommy the Sabre Tooth.
See the angry look?
Just about to cut the brontasauras to fuck!
Diploplonkus is in on it too - see the blades out on the feet next to bronteys tail.
It's all about to kick off - and don't say I didn't warn you.
Art can take many forms mate ,, so if you wanna spray it all over good on ya !Originally Posted by Satonic
Looks fine to me mate ,, and I would say you have some talent and some interest in art , why not . For sure a certain Mr. A. Warhol would be proud of your effort
Well done to your lad Gus , by the look of his ( I think they call diorama ) he is a sure footed young man , very definite in what he wants lol bless him .
I like the way he has depicted the shallower water nearer the shore with a lighter shade of blue .
Talking about our siblings I know I have posted this pic in another thread but , I know my late son Paul would have loved a thread like this , he was of a similar age to your lad Gus when he produced lots of work like this train pic . He made me so proud ,
This spots is for you son
just have a clear out of a wardrobe packing some stuff for the off next week, found a painting that ive started and havent finished
dug through a few memory sticks and found a pic of it when it was more basic

Well in just under a week we have had nearly 600 views on this thread + 40 contributions + I have received kindly some repo + nice remarks from other posters so its been well worth the effort .
I'm hoping its a thread that will get added to from time to time by others as and when they can , so please just have a go , the interest is there .
For now I will put the last one of mine up for a time as I would very much like to see others on here .
Thankyou all for either viewing or taking part so far I would be so happy if it just even inspires one of you to have a go
can everyone do this with their thumbs?
That's very nice, you got the water very well imho.Originally Posted by nigelandjan
Thankyou Q / C that is painted on some very special watercolour paper HOT pressed , which means there is next to no texture to the paper as opposed to COLD pressed and then you move into the ROUGH papers .
Its horses for courses TBH it looks a lot better in the real that one than on here as you can see the grain in the paper
It has also been built up by a process of transparent washes of paint to give it a see through body ,, glad you enjoyed it
Great stuff here. I think you are the Master Nigel.
When I was a college student, I used to like to play around just drawing. Not too much effort but this is the only stuff I have.
It was the late 80s and for some reason they were talking a lot about the end of the world and Nostradamos prophecies. There was to be someone from the middle east who would wear a blue turbin who would come and start the end of the world or something like that. This is just imagination.

This was just some meaningful word to me at the time jumbled into this. The word is there but I couldn't tell you now what it was originally. It's a puzzle to me as well now.
I'm laughing as I post these. Who do you think this is?

And who might this be? Older Americans probably would know.
And an odd character...
