I had a 12 foot python as our mascot when I had a tour company, we would feed it live wabbits and guinea pigs.

Pre meaning before killed, so still alive in my books.

Besides it is more fun watching the wittle wabbit wunning awound the cage, dodging strikes from the lazy short sighted obese python we had.
I like poisoning my neighbours dogs till they die cos I'm a cnut

Those pythons are basically cowards. They pretend like they want to bite you but in reality they are scared to because their teeth are like hundreds of backward sloping barbs and once they bite they have a big job to unhook them. So you just walk up and grab the buggers around the throat when they put on a show. They dont want to bite anything they dont reckon they can kill. So if they do bite you, you are probably in some trouble.

Then they want to use their secret weapon to wrap around your arm or other parts to squash the shit out of you. But they cant get a real good purchase until they lock in their tail which has a boney little part on the very end especially designed for the purpose. Once they get the coils wrapped around you they bring their boney tail tip up to about the third or fourth coil and lock it in. That's when they can really start to apply the pressure. If you want to get the fuckers off you all you got to do is start unwinding them from the tail. Or better still, just cut their fucking head off. They have extremely tough muscular bodies and hitting them with blunt objects wont do much good. A sharp metal object to part their muscle fibers does the trick though. Not much good in two bits.

I have confronted a few pythons in excess of 3 meters, but I wouldn't want to take on one of those big Burmese buggers unless I had a very sharp knife in each hand, or preferably a shotgun. They are heavy bodied and designed for killing large prey when they get big. If the bastards can kill an orangutan then a human would be no problem.

That's what we have got here Burmese Pythons.
They is a huge one that has been spotted down by the river several times.
The locals will not kill it even though their children play there.
The death sentence is only rolled out when they start stealing chickens and pigs.

My next thread is a sloth I think. Well, it's a big furry long tailed thing, anyway.

Not sure whether to post it or not. But it's the way it is in the bush. I asked why they'd killed it. Simple answer, FOOD.

    I dont know.

So, how does it differ from this thread? I'd prefer you not too, but I'm only one person. If you're going to post it, wouldn't adding it to this thread (rather than starting another) be appropriate?

The snake is a reticulated python, not a burmese python. its not endangered.
It is the longest snake in the world, over 30 feet.
i use to find them in phitsanulok on cold evenings when they would stretch out in the middle of the road.
Ive never seen them eaten before, but that must have provided a good amount of food. ive only seen snake fried in thailand.

I think its terrible that a lovely creature like that was butchered on a whimjust so humans could eat - whats wrong with a trip to the supermarket?
As an Australian I realise the need to protect snakes here in OZ where we have some of the worlds most venomous protected from everyone EXCEPT ME - I hate the slimy ugly bustards. Killed a bl...dy good dog of mine and threatened the kids as well.

So let me get this straight. These snakes {be they pythons, vipers, whatever} only remain lovely creatures so long as they're not threatening to you?
