    Here are a couple of my favourite foodstall type things, this one is the one where they deep fry the stuff in old engine oil to give it that unique Thai flavour, nothing over 10baht a stick here

    The old noodle soup stand;
    It's best to get there early as the raw meat is left on ice for quite a while, and as the ice melts they often forget to replenish it which could leave you 25baht out of pocket and a serious case of food poisoning, obviously if your thinking about hygene it's probably best if you don't eat at these, the ice is handled by the great unwashed so to speak and we all know they use their hands to wipe their bum after using the bathroom, but apart from that small factor the old noodle soup can be great

    Of course at the fair they did have a farang food section, I have to admit I didn't see the cod and didn't even bother to ask as I feel sure that this young lady and her food stall are not importing cod, as you can see the chips are in polystyrene containers and have probably been there for hours, they look like those frozen stringy ones you can buy now that taste just like KFCs cardboard chips if they didn't put so much salt on them, anyway I have to admit I gave them a miss, although as the Thai fish stall was so close all the flies were there regurgitating dog poo all over them, so from a hygene point of view these may have been the best deal.

    Next door to her of course was the great British savaloy, although they looked like crappy Yanky hotdogs to me, just to spice the display case up she also hung some chicken carcasses in there, looks damn delicious

    Back to the old noodle stands;

    There was an abundance of these, why is it every Thai wants to own noodle stand?
    Also should differant meats be kept so close to each other?

    Of course if you have a foodstall you really need to be down the road a bit from the Thai fish stall, I mean this must be what Aussie land is like, millions of flies swarming over these fish and 4 ppl with swatters trying to scare them away anytime someone they think may buy some fish encrusted with vomited dog poo from flys.

    Testicle soup;

    Well it might be, if they were a cauldron of beef stew and chicken stew we would all be queuing up for it, I am really not sure what this stuff is and to me it doesn't really look appealing, ie any part of an animal that is made into food and doesn't look like an animal you know are the crap parts, ie the parts not sold in your local sainsburys, well not in the UK anyway.

    The main industry of Pak Nam Pran is squid processing; as you can see from the street sign squid is a pretty strong motif here, not to mention a pretty strong smell. You really need the MS Windows Olfactory add on to get the full benefit from the pictures.

    My son was doing a school project on 'Thai Life' so he was very diligent in his research but even his mother refused to get out of the car.

    Amazingly there was a very nice looking restaurant on the other side of the road. I assume they only sold squid dishes because that was sure as hell the only thing you were ever going to able to taste there.

    I don't get the 'Copy Image Location' coming up as an option when I right click.

    You are either up very early or very late - don't you have a woman to go to?
