    Importing tractor parts

I had to order a new radiator for our tractor from the UK cos we can't get in Thailand. It's now arrived in Thailand and I'm getting messages from the courier about: what is it, what's it for, what's the commodity code etc. I think the wife has sorted that out now, in what way, I'm not sure...

Does anybody know roughly what the import tax % is? The Gov web site does not make clear what the import tax is for a tractor spare part? From what I'm seeing it could be 30%, 15% or 5% and of course VAT.

    thanks

You need to find the HS (Harmonized System Code) to find out the tariff.

    Will let you do search...

I was told yesterday that to bring agricultural parts into Thailand there was a tariff of 35-38%.

The rad cost £365 in the UK + £60 shipping. The total tariff was an eye watering 9650Baht. However still cheaper than buying from New Holland dealership in Chaiyaphum, they wanted close to £900.00.
