Thread: Fire resistant cables

This is an odd request but does anyone involved in construction know of any cable warehouse where I can get 'Fire Resistant Cables' such as found here: Special Cable

The manufacturers have massive lead times for delivery (2-4 months!) so I am looking for a local supplier who has stock available now.
Specifically I need 35mm2 & 25mm2 copper at about 200m lengths

I should be more specific. The cable must be from one of our approved suppliers in Thailand: (A private company that holds stock of cables would be best)

Hey Fondles don't forget that you are in Thailand ( But that would be the best way )

Itali-Thai Electrical might have some fire rated cable floating around

Our approved suppliers are only the manufacturers as we normally only buy bulk, however we need shorter lengths for a job in the airport.
That's why I'm looking for a local supplier with stock

Yes, they or another big installer may have remains from a previous job.

This is not a normal stock item for a cable warehouse or supplier and if they accept orders for special characteristic cable then you'll be forced to buy by the length the mfgr delivers in.
The warehouse/supplier don't want to stock remains for an unforeseeable time - they don't sell per meter.

The quoted delivery time is a good indication that this cable is manufactured on order and not a mfgr stock item, and if they don't want to stock then there is no chance that a warehouse sees it differently.

Thanks Baldrick / Lom, Thats the kind of info I was hoping someone in the industry may know about already.

Possibly a company in the fire industry (alarm cabling/systems or the likes) would carry spare stock but difficult to find
