Where to buy bamboo boards/sheets for walls

Hi! In Dr Andys thread Wooden cottage (page 8) there are pictures of bamboo boards that look very nice. I have been looking around here in Kalasin but could not find any, not even the new Global House had them. Maybe some where in Khon Kaen? Any one knows?

    Regards,

    Ben

Look for a more traditional builders shop, ie one that sells bamboo ladders, chicken covers, bamboo seating, that type of thing.

we got ours from the big woodyard in Chiang Mai; they also sell chipboard and ply

they also sell the bamboo in several small shops that normally sell other boards

    so maybe check a woodyard

HomePro and Global house did not stock it last time we were there

There are two types of sheeting. The hand made stuff which is 60 - 80 Baht a sheet, but doesn't look too great or last too long, and the machine made ones which start at around B250 - these come in different thickness. The glues used makes them resistant to mold and bugs.

Thank you for your answers, well, artist and c12mm did not contribute much...

Yes it is the thicker ones, 6 mm I think, I want. I just dont know where to find them...

But I have just found a website of a company in Lamphun, (Phisith Industrial) that apparantly makes them. I will try to contact them, I think they should know where I can find a shop... Or do you know, Smithson?

    Regards, Ben
