yes, the higher the tank, the higher the pressure. Imagine the tank being at the same level as your shower head...result, no shower

Reply:- (Not sure what I did wrong there!)

Tank would need to be 60 ft in the air to get a decent shower?
only if your shower was at 55ft

I should think it is less
    I have reported your post

I was talking to my local filter/pump man about these filters

he did add a word of caution saying that drinking water for kids should be bought in rather than using the filter output

or the water should be boiled for them

so maybe not really worth having, unless your water supply is really dirty, not even suitable for cooking?

Always the trade off. Here's my source of water so filter needed. Pretty mucky even when full. During dry season water level drops dramatically and turns yellow and stinks with algae.

60' x .433 = 26psi, there would also be pressure loss, you would need large bore pipes to get a decent shower at a lessor height.

Most do here. Water to filter, filter to tank, tank to pump, pump to house.

Something like this will do the job.

The pump shuts itself on and off based on demand pressure. When a faucet is opened water pressure drops and the pump comes on. When all faucets are off water pressure rises and pump switches off.

There are water level switches you can buy and install in the tank. If the tank is empty the switch will cut power to the pump preventing the pump from running (sucking air) with no water.

well the wife is driving to Korat today to pick up the floor tiles for the laundry room, bathroom and front porch entry way and steps. i will be home in about a week, i have been seeing these photos on updates and really want to get a good look at the quality of the build, the thread of Isee at the end really got me thinking, the small things at the end are very important,,detail work,,, very important,,and then after a couple months to see what all is moving and shifting because of temp change,,that is when you see the problems with the doors, molding, renduring of the walls,,etc,.,

Unless you have serious footing problems doubt you'll see much in only a couple of months. Will be a couple of years before some of the things you mention show up. No matter how well the house is built expect some hairline cracks in the render and minor door problems. All easily repaired.
