Nice house there in the back. Didnt you tell before that you still have to build it. Maybe a lick of paint here or there would be good, but for the rest.....

yes that is the wife, not sure why there were no monks, up to her but it looks well in place , not sure who the old man was, i was at work durning this time, the house is right at 150 sq meters for the house then a garage and storage that is 40 sq mt small but nice, i should of made it 3 b/r but didn't, not sure why, but i can add on later,,now have 1 little girl and she wants another,,anyway, she is headed to Korat today to pick up the front doors, so no pics today of the progress, but here are the photos of the pond, decided since i needed some soil to go ahead and dig one in the back of the land 28 rye, right next the kings land at the bottom of the mountain,, big hill,,so i could feed off the water run off during the raining season, have it stock with catfish,,almost good size to eat,,already,,

    thanks for the water

first stocked with with 400 catfish and 100 of thalapians,, how ever you spell it,,nice eating,, now it has been about 7 months and there are no telling how many,, lots of babies,, and middle size and some getting big enough to eat,, i let the workers go out and collect some at times,,

here are some photos of some items that are purchased and waiting to be installed in the house, also, i found a carpenter through a farang who i got with in another forum and he is coming out to give me a estimate on the kitchen cabinets and some other items, closets, enterainment center, bar,,the doors i bought at Do Home in Korat, the flooring Home Pro and also the water tanks,,drawings were done but then we changed up some and added a hallway,,laundry room out back, 2 bedroom with dinning area, living room,, and just the one bathroom and shower,,should do us for awhile,,

then the wife did this sketch with the hall way,, added another meter or so,,

the wood floor i choosed is the one in the middle, the redish color

bathroom sink and storage, the comode and shower hardware are purchased also

the back door and bedrooma and bathroom are this style.. all wood

these are the front doors, she is picking up today in Korat Do Home

got 2 of the 2,000 liter water tanks for house and land

2,000 liter septic tank,, will be serviced,, i think,, 200 baht week,, not sure

nice beginning to the build cjustice. keep it going!

don't think it is too uncomon not to have monks at the ground breaking ceremony and to rid the grounds of bad spirits..... we had a ground breaking ceremony as well with the pigs head, chicken, fruits, banana and sugar cane being hung up on two of the specific rebar columns, the insense sticks and the rest of the stuff and had no monks... it was some type of shaman holy man that conducted the proceedings. it is my belief that it is the monks who do the house blessing upon completion rather than the ground breaking ceremony but then again it may be what ever the house builder is most comfortable with.

Looking good. The B200 per week service charge for the septic tank I do not understand. We have several septic tanks and the cleaning company comes once or twice per year depending upon the need. Not even close to paying B200 per week. I would have to ask the boss, but I am thinking maybe B1000 a year per tank if that much.

I noticed no one uses a leach field for their septic system. Is there some reason for this or do they just not do it?
