I guess I should just do it and report back before I get any more 'expert' advice.
Vegemite, lets be frank ( or anyone else if you like ) you were always just gonna ' do it ' regardless of what anyone had said with regards to advice. You are the kind of bloke who once he's made his mind up, a weighty coalition of Jesus, Mohammed and the Bhudda could not possibly divert, from doing what a mans gotta do......in this case, instal extractor fans. Loy Toys comment had a lot of merit but the fookin fact is that Thailand is stinking hot and if you wanna be cool , stick yer hand in yer pocket and get an air con. There are many things you can do to make your house cooler....Trees ( for shade ) white walls ( reflect heat )insulation....bla bla bla but these only make the house cooler ( from 34 to 30 degrees ) they do not make the house cool ( 26 degrees ). For pitys sake man, ask the midget what she wants, and then let her have it .

Normally,I would not have been so Frank ( because you might wanna be him ) but a certain amount Hong Tong has compelled me to be brutally honest. ( burp )

set wall fan(s) as high as possible

It's not blowing the air in that you want, it is blowing it out together with the humidity !

so Marmite, are you still farting after 3 years?

we just place a pedestal fan next to a window, you can bring in cool air or blow out hot air, depending on how you place it
