Have plenty of rest HumB.
Update: Just finished my design, left only a few texts here and there to do, and of course my usual copyright watermark![]()

Humby....did you try to hold out on the anaesthetic like i told you to ?
How long did you last.....I love doing that
I had two chances to try your technique. The first time they put the oxygen mask on I just dropped off immediately. They dropped me and dislocated my new hip in the ICU right after surgery so they went in for a revision a few days later and I remember being able to count to about 15.
So far, the whole experience has sucked.
bluddy photobucket keeps going down, will post more after the weekend![]()

Nice SL....like the loof.

Nice design, Splendid
Just wish you didn’t array them in a moobaan setting in one of your photo, It has taken away the iconic element from the design when everyone else in the neighborhood is having the same exact house style.
Somewhat questionable around a maid quarter area - with the lack of washing and cooking area for her.
But all in all....a nice curve appeal nevertheless. Well done!
MC
Ps: I will wait until you have posted the rest of yours first on Monday, then I will follow with mine….less confusing for the viewers.

Hmm...so far I also do like Humbert's curve appeal, but less on the floor plan.
Nawty has a nice sensible/workable flowing plan, but will wait for the elevation first to see....

I like your design a lot Split. I think you answered the requirements perfectly. I think the design is iconic and memorable, the kind of home the owners would be happy with. I would like it better if the master bedroom overlooked the pool, but overall I like the zoning and overall plan.
I am looking forward to Nawty completing his submission and seeing Mooncake's work.
Really captivating exterior design. Overall quite exciting, but could you have spared a few more square inches for the poor maid?![]()
quite a few designs and promised designs
Humbert, you will have to think up a fair way of judging this contest
Cupcakes- i agree, but the brief said urban, so it had to have houses around the main house, i could have used blocks but showing many of the same house shows different angles of the origional in one render.
the maid will have to suffer.
cheers Steve Austin and Shunpike.

I hate estates.
I am afraid I will not be doing an elevation.....I might try, but I shy...
i hate marzipan.
elevate you must try, please oh please dont be shy.

This was what I envisioned in my set up post:Originally Posted by DrAndy
10 points total: give points for plan and overall design. Judging weighted on plan 60%, overall design 40%.
For example: I give contestant-A 9 pts for the plan. 9 x .6 = 5.4 and 9 pts
for overall design. 9 x .4 = 3.6. Total score is 9.0.
Is that clear and workable?

Clear as mud......as long as I win who cares
Don't worry about how points are calculated just try and earn some by doing elevations.

By MOONCAKE DESIGN.............for Design Competition #2
The house is designed for a professional couple with 2 teenage children, and the need of a big communal space for living, eating, and entertaining areas. Their wish list is for a 2 stories contemporary iconic design suitable for a typical urban setting in Thailand climate, with lots of room for art display, both indoor and outdoor.
By having owner’s suite on the entire upstair, it creates a luxurious feel and privacy away from the grown-up children, with a large study area for take-home business functions, and an upper garden deck for displaying of those outdoor arts enclosed by modern screen and tree lined fence all around.
The main landscape off the kitchen/dinning room is designed for an escape from a daily monotony of city life into your own lusciousness oasis with modern screen and tree lined fence all around for privacy, makes this a unique space for outdoor courtyard entertaining and arts displaying area.
House: 2800 sq. ft (280 sq. m)
Approx cost: 5-5.5 mil bths (exclude landscaping)
Pics below......enjoy
