It's not uncommon for houses and condos to be built without the kitchen being finished. That way you can add fixtures that meet your needs.

The house I'm in is over 10 years old and still doesn't have a kitchen aside from an old fridge. We just eat out every meal.

nope CMN, it would be about 10x sqm, so 2200sqft

Are you building an indoor or outdoor kitchen?

We've got an indoor bit, for the microwave, toaster etc... and then an outdoor bit for the cooking. Works quite well.

We are building an indoor one, leading off from what is now the dining room.

Gets a bit wet up here in a couple of months time, pretty squally too, I'm also paranoid about rodents and snakes.

Well, the outdoor bit is kinda half in and half out, but it gets a good breeze through, so it doesn't get too hot or smelly.

I live in the bloody place but you know more about it thatn i do.
We actually paid for a 50 sq wah plot.
Unfortunately it was an estimate (rip off) whichever way you look at it and we ended up paying an extra 7,000 baht per sq wah over 50 sq wah, can't remember exactly how much over as it was at a time when money was pouring through me and I was all pissed off.
Will check the deeds later, but you might be right.
It might be closer to 53 sq wah.

I did do the math for the acre. long tme ago I looked acre up the onlydef I could fnd was "An area 208 ft by 208 ft" That I remembered but ever time, since then, I gotta do the fuckin math. Why couldn't the just come out an' say, "43,264 sq ft?"

Thanks CMN and others ... 2200 square feet is a good size house. The first house I built up in Phichit is about 1500 sq ft I'd say and I know I need something a little bigger. I don't want to spend more than 1.5 million though on this next one so I might have to go with something smaller to get everything I want and need on the inside.

I really like the look of yours CMN.

Sorry, no pictures. My old lady built it unsupervised so I wasn't there to see it built or take pictures. That house started Dec 01, 2003 and was finished in April 2004. It's just a little square bungalow in the middle of a bunch of tin shacks.
