Looking for info about labor and material price 2022

Can anyone give me some idea of how much will charge a builder to build a downstair bedroom with 1 bathroom western style ? The bedroom will be an extension to the existing house of my FiL. All build should be around 5x3,5 m including the bathroom. Location is close to Ubolratana in north east of Thailand ( Khon Kaen area). I want to have brick walls. Or do you reccomend other type of walls ? Also where i can find how much cost building materials ? I need to have an idea to not be ripped off by builder. Any other advice is most then welcome

You'll need to give a bit more info. Is it a straight forward lean to extension, what type of roof, window, doors and when you say western bathroom the costs can vary a lot between just a basic suit with a normal sit down toilet to quite expensive porcelain with a bath etc.

Your best bet is to ask around and see who's had stuff built recently and get recommendations and at least 3 quotes.

If its basic most village builders can probably knock it up and the costs shouldn't be too huge for c18m2. If its a one storey lean to with basic window and doors, concrete post construction and even QCon i think you are looking at below 100K but thats a guess at the basic end.

All the big hardware/building supply stores have websites with prices for you to check. Mostly in Thai of course but Chrome translates them ok. Just to start you off : Thaiwatsadu.com, globalhouse.com, dohome.com

^ Indeed. As a guide you could draw a sketch with sizes (you need to spec the wall and roof materials) and go to SCG or some other building supplies national and they should be able to work out a rough estimate - it'll give you a materials cost guide
