Looking for Modern Pre-Fab House Builder

Looking for Modern Pre-Fab House Builder-house-jpg

I found a house that I like the look of. It's located in Koh Samui, where I do not wish to live. So I copied it's image as an example of something I wish to build.

I'm guessing it might be a pre-fab (or something that gets built quickly from the various components being ready to assemble).

Might anyone know anyone in Thailand that builds 'this sort of thing'. Not 100% exactly, but something in the ballpark.

    Thank you kindly all.

    Hello Jay,

I have no idea but here is the blown up pic. With all that glass you are a) not expecting neighbours b) going to have a stratospheric electricity bill to cool it. But good luck

    That’s a gorgeous house.

I built a house with the big sliding doors and glass on three sides of the living room. Over the years I have become unhappy with looking at my car and not having a wall on which to hang a big screen tv. Also, I regret having a sliding door as a main entrance. Remodel in order to close in one side and install a regular door when I finally get back to Chiang Mai.

Power bills never were too outrageous as power isn’t so expensive in Thailand. (Yet.)

I'd opt for 25% tinted glass if in Thailand.

I don't think any business could survive selling a house like that prefab - especially in Thailand.

This looks kind of similar in that it has lots of views.

The first thing you'd need to do though is acquire some land that's large enough and attractive enough to look at through all of those windows.

Not to mention people sprinkling goldfish food on your roof every day.
seriously. All the reasons mention MM77 plus can you imagine cleaning all that glass? and if you ever decided to sell it , Good luck. Your available pool of buyers will be awfully small.

Shirley this is just a concrete base, with metal pilings. A flat roof stuck on and glass plates. As opposed to any kind of prefab house (called knockdowns)

Shipping container abodes are kinda the rage, quite a few are made into cafes.

    Might be your kinda thing.

This is most probably a troll, but there should be no problem building a house like this.

Just use low E double glazing with either Argon or Krypton gas...and curtains!

Nice house, would suggest 2 ways to stop the goldfish bowl effect

1 Double glazing with the Venetian blinds inserted between the panes of glass
2 Electric blinds fitted externally - stops people seeing in but you can see out clearly.

The views on the other side of the glass are all of the outdoors, while the blinds are all indoors- so clearly the blinds aren't 'fitted externally'.

    They're just conventional blinds.

And a person with those blinds down won't be able to 'see out clearly'.

    So, in conclusion...no.

I am not sure if you are really fucking dumb or just acting the annoying prick as normal.

The OP’s house is not in existence, he merely posted a pic of a house he liked. I posted 2 solutions that he could use if desired to stop intrusive viewing.

I have both the features I highlighted in my own house.

I assure you my interest is legitimate. I plan to place it in the middle of a large chunk of land (at least 5 RAI, if not more), walled, with gardens around the house. I plan to cover the roof with heat reflective paint, and install solar panels nearby to feed it energy to compesnate for the AC.

Also plan to either use tint, or external sliding blinds (something I've used in Switzerland) to help cut down on sun.

The way it was designed, and being mass-deployed at a villa site in Koh Samui, I was wondering if it might be mass produced somewhere and I could cut down on finding my own builders to build it, or simply just pick it up and have it delivered.

Did you actually look at that link you posted up?

You seem to have got a bit worked up.
