Update on the daily dust from the bamboo stick eaters:
We repeated the fumigation by stronger sulphur fumes, it did not help. Later, we observed that the dust comes from the few young teak branches (dia. 1") used for the roof construction. After removing them, hallelujah, no more daily dust laying on the table (almost).
So the bamboo eaters were innocent - or died completely - unlike the insect in the teak bracing, exposed to the same fuming.
Hence to know that the famous teak is not always free of insects, especially the younger one. Even on the 4 main columns dia. 12-15 cm (ca. 10 years old) we see the holes bored by these insects.
