    Screen for mosquito, snake, etc

    Good day
Juat completed an outdoor bathroom and utility area. In local fashion, left an open gap between top of wall and metal roof for airflow.
I want to cover the area with screening to keep mosquitos etc out and even deter snakes if possible, as they abound here.
Builder mentioned laying screen right across the top and fixong it to the cement with two sided tape.
I wonder if tge screen flat like that would get a lot of dust, spiders, trash etc and be a maintenance headache, and if putting screen up vertically around the whole perimeter between the top of the wall and the roof would be better...for sure more effort .
Screen seems to come in aluminum, fiberglass and nylon type material. I liked the aluminum as it could be formed to fit corners nicely. I was thinking maybe getting thin tin and cutting strips to use to hold the screen tight to the cement and roof with nails/screws....but would like to hear any ideas from members here that maybe have done a similar project.
    Cheers

No matter what you install mosquitos will get in. As for snakes, get a dog. None get past mine. Good luck.

If I have understood your post correctly, my opinion is that screens made from aluminium are weak and need to be repaired or replaced fairly quickly and often.

The alu window screen mesh is bought in rolls. For the frame there is a special alu profile that is prepared for fixing the mesh without use of any nails.
Here is a video not Thai, however, the same style is here available at every village hardware shop. Unless not ordered - made-to-order at a shop (in every larger "village").

Lol i hear you aome get paat the wire. But i hail from some of the most infested lands there are,and we use screen patuos to keep 99%+ out, of course opening the door will allow ingress but a fan at the wntrance helps.
Dogs we have, but even they can get caught off guard .
    Cheers

Thanks for that, did not know. So maybe that is why fibreglass and nylon are options, mind you aluminum was the priciest. Will look further into that. Cheers

Great video thanks, will come in handy later when building the porch.
The situation now is a ceiling space that has obstructions in the corners and other contours to navigate if i want to seal the area off. I will try attaching a photo here that shows the space along one wall.
Thanks.....well appears I do not have oermission to post attachments so no pics
