Thread: A roof for a tall Thai?

Riding on the bike the other day and passed this house undergoing construction. My first thought was what the hell?



I can understand extending a roof, but building a roof to only gain about 2 feet of additional wall. And for what? Maybe a Thai basketball star will be moving in.

It is a rather small house but I can't really see what they are trying to do.

Will just have to wait and see...

I saw this once before. The original roof was in such poor shape, leaking, sagging, it's much cheaper to put up a new one than replace the old one.

I'd bet lunch that's what's happening here.

There might be the added benefit of cooling if finished properly so as not to be ugly.
