And that's what I want to avoid. The pond itself is really just a water feature. The fish ( depending on variety) can complicate and make it a management thing. I'm still thinking about Piranha and a snapping turtle.

I still reckon this is gonna be much more than a "very small pond"...

It's gonna be impressive (I suspect we may not see blue pipes - could be wrong?).

There will be no plumbing exposed at all. I hate seeing that blue piping. The pump will be in a small underground box I will install liklely behind the waterfall area.

The size is limited. I do not want something to big. I want to stick to the design in the first post.

Today I found the flat shale type cut rock I want. I will pick it up when I trek back north.

Right now I am gathering up the things I need. I also want the 2 mature trees I had planted to get established.

One of the new trees planted to offer shade for the pond is taking off nicely. This tree will be full with leaves and the flowers are very aromatic.

This will be a long term project being I am working and can't be home to work on it a lot. Its why I planted the trees now.

Can never have enough trees around - gardens or elsewhere.

Still gathering up my Pond items.

Found this on Shoppee. Had wife track down the guy and gave her a list of questions to ask them. They make a UBF 25,000 + UV as well. Wife workin them for a deal

I also found a Rockery place where they sell flat natural stones like Shale Stones. I will have to pick up and bring them back home when I make my next trip.

@ Bettyboo......I am over engineering it just for you..... Id hate to let you down.

I have been mulling around on setting a Teak Sala by the pond edge. However want the edge facing the pond to be a bar and add a few stools. and also have a table in it to sit and relax.

    Been searching around

Want something like this but fully covered. I will add some lights and a small overhead fan. There are a few places along AH1 just past Tak that makes them.

In which way do they fit into the "very small pond" concept?

Well the pond is only going to be about 30 meters in diameter and 3 meters deep. I have decided to add about fifteen 30lb koi fish.....

All kidding aside...Pond will be about 4 meters in dia and 1.2 meters deep. Having the Sala edge up against it should offer a nice sitting area. The outside bar though is the most important part. . Guess I could do a "Tiki hut" style....

    Japper, no

You are creating a secondary water source with protein enhancement, get the UV.
