Concrete looking house, what is the proper way ? Just cement all around ? Protection?

    hello,

I do not want to paint the bungalow exterior, I want it to look like cement/concrete.

Can you tell me what to use / apply ? Just cement all around or any protection is needed ?

    Thank you.

You would have to have a very smooth finish.
any roughness will maintain moisture, grow algae , which will dry in the hot dry months and turn black.
A few years ago, I build a wall around out property, looked great just cement. Went away and did not get to come back for about a year, It was black in many spots, so I painted it !
Look around at unpainted concrete and see what happens to it in the hot sun.
The sooner you fall behind, the more time you have to catch up.

Just coat it with sealant to make it waterproof/water resistant. Done it with our driveway and pathways and they are still fresh cement colored. Repeat every few years or as wear dictates.

What the OP is describing is how a wall was finished near to where I live. Instead of the usual rendering they finish off with, this wall is smooth as fcuk. It looks as if it was rendered with just a cement water mix. No sand. I've asked the missus to ask how it was finished and I'll post a photo.

I hope this helps? The difference I noticed about this was is that usually when a wall is rendered you can see the individual brick outline. This wall you can't. It looks as if it was cast in vibrated concrete.

As I said earlier you would need to get the finish very smooth.
SikafloorŪ ProSeal-22 found at any home improvement store, such as Home Pro is used to waterproof cement . and could be used to obtain the finish you are looking for.
If that's' the look you are looking for fine , but if you are looking to do this because you want to save money and or time from painting, I think the process of waterproofing and smoothing would be just as time consuming and expensive as painting, and in the end you might have to paint it anyway.
