Tool delivery with the wife hitching a ride.
Got out shiny red wheel barrow on board that I couldn't jam in the rental car.

Yeah sadly Jeff got that one that water set up was on the roof of the house as well I have seen it on a few other places around. It's all in the pond now I'll rely on shade and aircon.
Here goes the big fill. I couldn't believe how many truck loads if dirt went in that hole.
They just kept going.
Not sure how many hundreds of loads at this point.
Yes the excitement was growing. I think they were expecting a few more fish to surface at the end.
That's it all filled in 400 loads of dirt the garage and three small buildings floors and half walls.

Big toad hiding.
It blends right in with the dirt.
Now I know why they say to shake your boots out.
Too many critters.
Am I mistaken, or did you folks throw most everything [plastics, synthetics, other things that don't break down organically] in the filled in pond...??
Lovely.
...tell me it ain't so.

Why didn't the OP just buy a piece of land with nowt built on it and without a pond?
....and casting nutter insinuations around, yet don't recognize as it might be in yourself.
They rented them this. To be used as a business I assume.
This is what they saw when they returned.
After being told by family and neighbors what was going on.
Then you write...
Looks quite different to me. Like the style or not it sure as the hell is significantly different ....
Cool Ron Jon shirt.
What's wrong with having a pond?
Yeah, you got something against frogs ?
It's landfill, goes on all around the globe.
Good way to dispose of the rubble.
I would have kept the pond myself, fenced it off and started breeding koi carp.
Not to worry Jeff we bagged up all the plastic bottles, empty cans off bug spray and hundreds of plastic flower pots and various other crap. Did a few things end up in there ? Yes sadly some stuff did but only a fraction compared to what we collected . The Thai people there already thought we were nuts for bagging up all that other stuff. Most of the stuff we bunged in there was vegetation from the land.
This is why we bought the place. There just aren't many options for a big piece on the river in the area we where looking. We had a verbal deal on another place without all the stuff on it but the guy pulled out and this one was the next best place available.
We didn't really spend much to clear it out.
Here are a few of the Pier getting a facelift.
This is what it looked like after the water pump enclosure was removed.
Here the guys are getting ready our little extension.
Driving the cement poles.
All the rain put the project under water.
The wall crew is very versatile.
After the river receded a bit more cement work.
David, The dirt was 400 baht a load and 10 free loads per 100. I think we had right around 400 trucks
To the guys asking about why we filled the pond. It was taking up a lot of space wasn't really attractive and I'd prefer to sit by the river watching the water flow past. No turning back now it's all gone.
Thanks for all the encouraging comments even Jeff to remind me there's always one in every crowd.
Thanks for that Mike ... the building forum likes that sort of info.
Re Jeff's red ... he's just winding up the Forum, and you are not alone.
For asking you what the cost per truck load was, I got this in kind ...
Jeff just seems angry with the World, certainly everyone on the Forum, except Luigi of course
No problem I probably should have put this in the construction area if the mods want to move it no problem. There's loads being done there and I will add on as the pictures come in as were back home now.
^Yeah it would be interesting to know what kind of life a guy like that lives behind the keyboard. Probably real sad. It's cool I'll carry on.
